  1. @AndrewBClarke I am pretty glad the Caterham drivers didn't 'flash' me, luckily I just waved at them so no flashing involved on my part, or Gemma's I hasten to add ๐Ÿ˜„

  2. I think we all need a definition of โ€˜flashingโ€™ at @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative . Just to clear things up. I only ask as it would appear that no one is willing to โ€˜flashโ€™ at @Labrat ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

  4. Here is mine, safely tucked up in a fairly cluttered, but otherwise clean and dry garage. Have been out for a blat to Windsor and back this evening with my son who seemed to enjoy it ๐Ÿ‘ Hoping to have it down in Somerset at my house by mid September ๐Ÿคž

  5. I flashed ALL the Caterhams and they ALL flashed and waved and thumbs up, loved it, lovely to see so many out. Don't think there will be so many today now the weekend has passed.

  7. Out this afternoon to check that the roadworks (closed roads) on the route were finished. Weather forecast for next weekend is really good, especially Saturday for the run. See you the start, 9am at Cairn Lodge Services, M74!

  11. 1990 SE Narrow 2.0 Zetec ENGINE & TRANSMISSION 2.0 litre Blacktop Zetec engine with Weber DCOE 40 carbs and MegaJolt ECU mated to a 4 speed gearbox. Retroford flywheel re-drilled for a pinto clutch. Westfield 4 into 1 exhaust manifold and 6 inch re-packable silencer. INTERIOR Basic bench seats but nice LUKE harnesses with aircraft style buckle, interior panels and carpets. Aluminium, engine-turned dash (which may be having a renaissance). EXTERIOR Black gelcoat which still looks pretty good for its age and polishes up well. Comes with tonneau cover, hood, wind deflectors and sidescreens. For sale after 17 years due to it not getting as used as much as it should. Would make an excellent first Westfield. Please bear in mind that it is a 31 year old car and is somewhat showing its age and evidence of the modifications made throughout its life. ยฃ6500

  12. Just like buses - you don't see one for ages then 3 turn up at once... Another car meet attended this evening, just a small rural pub meet with my ( rebranded) old Truiumph car club, which now allow all classics to join. As yesterday met some old and new friends very enjoyable night with some interesting cars and bikes. Mini Clubman 1275GT which had a slightly hotter engine in it - Cossie . I picked a good week to get better as another one to attend tomorrow night as well. More soon.

  15. I hope you weren't wearing club clothing when you were flashing all those middle aged men in Caterham's! What a reputation for us to get...

  18. Brilliant job @Rob Hunter Derby & Notts AO, you have been well trained ๐Ÿ˜›, thank you sweetie. So what is the verdict on The Bull Yard / Bull i Thorn place? good food? worth going back there? the paint was still wet when we called in a few weeks ago. Here in Snowdonia the Llanberis Pass is full of Caterhams! not that I have a photo, but here is my cars bed for the night.

  19. I've got a couple of outdoor Carcoons that get used off and on for my cars. my last single seater was built in one which was custom made by Carcoon to my dimensions. it has the same footprint as their size-2 but with a reduced height which improves its stability in poor weather. the other is a bike bubble that I bought for storing unbuilt chassis. The size-2 is built for cars of similar sizes to the classic mini and is a comfortable fit for my single seaters and wouldn't fit my Westfield. I suspect you'd need a size3 or 3L for a Westfield.

  20. I have a couple of outdoor Carcoons and they are brilliant - other than I use a lightweight cloth cover over the cars first in case the wind picks up and rubs the Carcoon against the car. I have lost paint off the tips of the door mirrors on my Sapphire Cosworth to this. Since using the cloth cover beneath, there has been no further deterioration. You can buy direct from Carcoon - 0161 737 9690, info@carcoon.com
