For sale is my 2015 L plate registered Westfield SEiW Mazda SDV. I built this car from the chassis up with a 1994 1.8 MX-5 donor in 2014 and had it finished and on the road in 2015. After some track days I felt it could do with a bit more speed so I swapped the engine for a 2001 1.8 MX-5 SVT which has the VVT engine and did a custom turbo. Now the car has 250bhp and weighs in a 600KG which is a similar power to weight ratio of a Ferrari 458 Speciale! This is more a track oriented car with its racing seats and no windscreen although is road legal and it does come with a spare scuttle with a windscreen attached which is a 5 minute job to swap the aeroscreen scuttle over. Really reluctantly having to sell it due to planning on moving to the US later this year. You can see my build diary here for some in depth details. This is more a track oriented car although is road legal. Although the windscreen is cracked in the passenger side Original front cycle wings in white, never fitted Carbon effect front cycle wings Various other bits Whilst the car is in good condition it's not a show car and prefers to be used. There are a few scuffs and marks on the bodywork. A couple of the LEDs in the side lights in the Venom headlights are out. Unfortunately a common problem that can be fixed with a soldering iron. The rear passenger wheel arch has a chip on the edge where it was reversed into at low speed. I have a replacement that I never got around to fitting. Available to view anytime in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. £15,500 ono.2 points

Last day of the month for minimum loss, but, beware cutting it too fine when surrendering any remaining tax, the online service closes at about 7pm IIRC. When I sold the Jeep, I didn’t cancel the tax until the chap buying had got home and let me know…by which time it was too late to terminate it, so I had to do it the following day, the 1st, which cost me a months tax of course. To his credit, the buyer paid me the months tax I’d lost, as the only reason I’d delayed cancelling was so he could get home with it still taxed so it didn’t ping any ANPR cameras. So, in your example, yes, last day of the month… but make sure not to leave it too late in the day.2 points

Most of us going tomorrow Paul as the site wouldn't let us book Weekend display passes at first, so everyone went for the Sunday. See you tomorrow 👍2 points

Losing track of what day we are up to, but hey ho... No Westy content at all, but did have a great trip down to Malvern in a tintop, a freind had to take his wife there and I tagged along as well. Sadly we arrived in the evening so the place was shut, but I have always wanted to see where Morgan actually are, hoping to return and do one of their tours I keep hearing about.2 points

So on my final leg back home from London, sat on a stationery train waiting for the driver??!!! I've just seen a £50 donation which is an anonymous payment, if its from anyone on this forum then thats absolutely amazing and thank you😊 Paul (Lily's dad) said a few words to say thanks to everyone involved, it was somewhat emotional, in fact he went to pieces which set me and a few others off which makes you realise a few blisters and dodgy knees and legs is nothing compared to what some go through. We are awaiting for confirmation from the company we work for as to whether they will match what we have raised? I really do hope so, in which case everyone's kind donations will have doubled! Heading home (hopefully), my wife will be waiting for me from the station (hopefully?!) and then I'm heading to the bath and I think I'm done!! For people who run these distances for fun, you are mad but I take my hat of to you. Over and out!!!!!!!!2 points

Not really a football fan, but watching in the pub with a mate, he pointed out that unlike the men, they get knocked over and are straight back up again. They really seemed to play with a passion missing from the men's team. Hope they win it will give a huge boost to womens football and to the country that needs something to cheer us all up2 points

I didn't know the answer so went to see what the internet says , from reading various sites the concensus is the 31st, since that is the last full month you will have to pay for. "so if you sell your car on the first of the month then you still have to pay for that full month of road tax." https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/what-happens-to-road-tax-sell-car/1 point

Last Wednesday Glen and I viewed classic cars before an auction at the Buxton Pavillion. There next auctions are on Weds 27th July and Weds 30th Nov. Most of the cars can be viewed for free outside the auction and for £10 two people receive a catalogue and access to the cars inside the Pavillion. The auctions start at 1pm, the best bit is the interesting folks that you get to chat with beforehand and over lunch in the Pavillion cafe. Here is what we saw, it's like a car show only with real prices attached. VX sold for £11812 Fiat sold for £6975 911 sold for £29083 Mitsy sold for £8438 MX5 sold for £2475 Mini sold for £9675 Bug sold for £16875 MG sold for £7650 MG TD sold for £14250 TR6 sold for £16312 Hope you find this interesting and hope to see you at the next auction!1 point

Julie, there were 4 XKRs for sale in the auction. None of them made their reserve, but 3 of them (mine included) were sold at well below reserve at the end of the auction. Basically, they went for trade prices. The 4th. one, the owner decided to keep, and take it home. I think the market for that type of car has been hit by the energy crisis and the possible impending recession. So to answer your question, I'm disappointed it didn't make its reserve, but quite pleased that I have sold it! I wasn't really using it, and so if I kept it it was just standing and potentially deteriorating. I think I've reached the age where I'm best just sticking to my "tintop", which I'm thinking of changing for a new one. Mind you, I did find the possibility of buying a good MGB roadster oddly attractive. We'll see if I can resist the urge!1 point

Day 2 What a busy day, took the car for a run this morning just to get used to the roads around here again, predictably ended up at Parkgate, but the front was too busy so stopped at the Boathouse Pub end for a photo. Flint and North Wales in the background. The rest of the day was spent helping one of my oldest friends move house , 2 Transits and 2 Lutons later we had all his gear in the new house ( never want to see another cardboard box again 😄) I am sorry I can't show you the foods you are used to seeing on this forum, but after 9 hours of box humping this was ideal. I think tomorrow is a lazy day - give my back a rest... More soon.1 point
