  4. So on my final leg back home from London, sat on a stationery train waiting for the driver??!!! I've just seen a £50 donation which is an anonymous payment, if its from anyone on this forum then thats absolutely amazing and thank you😊 Paul (Lily's dad) said a few words to say thanks to everyone involved, it was somewhat emotional, in fact he went to pieces which set me and a few others off which makes you realise a few blisters and dodgy knees and legs is nothing compared to what some go through. We are awaiting for confirmation from the company we work for as to whether they will match what we have raised? I really do hope so, in which case everyone's kind donations will have doubled! Heading home (hopefully), my wife will be waiting for me from the station (hopefully?!) and then I'm heading to the bath and I think I'm done!! For people who run these distances for fun, you are mad but I take my hat of to you. Over and out!!!!!!!!

  6. We're go go go! 1st hurdle to overcome is public transport/train. Our charity T-shirts should be at the start point. Forecast is 26 degrees today!

  7. Hi All! It's our monthly pub meet at the Clock Warehouse (Shardlow, Derby DE72 2GL) at 7pm on Thursday 4th August. Hopefully the weather will be kind and we can bring our Westies but lesser forms of transport are allowed 😉 Tales of Blyton, Newark and Donington will be mandatory! 😂 We will probably park in the lower car park (turn right in the car park). Hopefully we'll see you there 👍 Rob

  18. A little 'on the go' update. Lily left us after a mile and she looks amazingly well all considering! We've not stopped for anything as yet and still hoping to hit this in one go, just passed a 8 mile to Paddington sign so I think we're doing well. My heels ache and legs are feeling tight but hey ho, it's nothing compared to what some are having to deal with.

  20. Thank you Richard👍 I think I'm all set?? I'm not the most organised in these situations as in I will turn up on time and do what I need to do but I'm not best prepared so I've got my walking boots, new hiking socks, energy bars and other junk food in the rucksack but more importantly.....bog roll!! I'm a 5 a day kinda man so I figured this could be a pitstop every 5 miles🤣 All joking aside I'm looking forward to it and I believe the young lady that this is aimed at wants to walk the 1st mile with us when we set of at 7am which I think will set me of with a tear or two??😥 My train leaves my town (Newbury, Berks) at 5:51 and I should arrive at the start point (Slough) at 6:51 (in theory?). I will keep you all updated and thanks again everyone! Ps, Hope your feeling okay Richard?! Heading to bed now for an early night!!

  21. I’ve got a 1.6 Ecoboost engine from my Fisher Fury project but it’s perfect for a Westfield. The engine has been prepared from the original bulky unit. I also have all the other components required to install this (SCS Delta ECU, loom, bell housing, dry sump tank, etc), available separately. £3000 <20k miles Turbo Technics hybrid turbo SBD blanks fitted to make it suitable for a race car or kit car install SBD/Titan dry sump fitted - £2k on its own Gemzoe Motorsport lightweight alternator (Edge Performance) and custom brackets Bosch throttle position sensor Lightweight race flywheel AP race clutch Engine mounts Good for >300bhp I’m based in Bristol

  26. Sorry for all the messages I haven't replied to. House move and subsequent work involved meant I've been pretty busy. All still available and open to sensible offers

  27. Well, I'm not so sure about cars I wish I had owned, but I did own a Mini Cooper S 1275 (actually it was 1293, because it had over-bored high compression pistons) and a Healey 3000 but mine was a lovely blue. Also a couple of Capri 2.8i back when they were new. And an Aston Martin DBS Vantage (not the modern one, the one with a straight 6 engine which was the replacement for the DB6). And I've got a 4.2 Jaguar XKR, but that is going to Buxton, for a classic car auction on Wednesday. (H&H Classics, lot 11 if anyone is interested!)
