  2. Day 2 What a busy day, took the car for a run this morning just to get used to the roads around here again, predictably ended up at Parkgate, but the front was too busy so stopped at the Boathouse Pub end for a photo. Flint and North Wales in the background. The rest of the day was spent helping one of my oldest friends move house , 2 Transits and 2 Lutons later we had all his gear in the new house ( never want to see another cardboard box again πŸ˜„) I am sorry I can't show you the foods you are used to seeing on this forum, but after 9 hours of box humping this was ideal. I think tomorrow is a lazy day - give my back a rest... More soon.

  18. Limited Edition Sports Carbon Westfield Limited run of 25 cars only Factory Built Huge specification as follows (I might have forgotten some details) Dunnel built 'blue printed' Zetec engine. 2.0l. The engine cost GBP9,850.00 and produces 232bhp with strong and linear torque curve. This engine pulls hard from 3,500rpm and produces max power at 7,000rpm. (I have a folder detailing every aspect of this engine). Done 6,000 miles on this engine, with the car covering 9900 miles in total Throttle bodies Mappable ECU with external module Quaife straight cut gearbox. Made to complement the engine Super wide wishbones Large brakes Tillet seats 5 point straps Plumbed in fire extinguisher Full roll cage Carbon diffuser and nose ducts Custom roof cover carbon sides Lots more small bits This car is extremely well set-up for road and track use. The suspension is dialed in perfectly for a driver of 80+/- kg. The best of everything went into this car. A few very small stone chips to be expected but this car is like new structurally. It truly is one of the very best cars I've owned. (its not an abused track day toy) I am only selling as I'd like to try a Westfield Megabusa or a similar BEC. Come take a look Price!! GBP15,995.00 or close offer.

  19. Do you want them short-term just for the IVA or as a long-term fitment? If short-term only you can borrow mine for a couple of weeks if you're happy to collect and return.

  21. Day 1. Left home at 9.30am, deceided to use motorways all the way again. As usual all had roadworks on them and at one point on the M6 we got down to 35mph... Got to destination around 11.15am. You will have seen a very similar photo back in February ( except the skip is gone this time πŸ˜„) Unloaded car and then spent all of the day either on the phone or messaging folks , ending up with one old friend calling round at 6pm and leaving at 12.30 ish am. Some Gin was drunk, and so am I.... Organised some meets earlier in the day, hopefully all will work out as one has a whole host of old motorbikes and cars. Miles done on day 1 - 92. Helping another mate move house tomorrow, hope my back holds out. More soon.

  22. We have done a Highland Tour for the past 4 years and have done most off the NC500. Will no doubt be up there again next year. We tend to go end of May or early June to avoid the midges. We also don’t bother with much of the actual NC500 route as a lot of it isn’t that great and actually misses some of the more spectacular roads up there. We tend to travel up one side of Scotland stopping overnight on the way then spend a good 3-4 days with Ullapool as a base but have also stayed just north of Inverness. Then we follow the weather and go for 2-300 mile runs each day around the superb roads that are way up north. Then travel back down the other side. We always try and fit in a run through Glenshee either on the way there or on the way back. Highly recommended πŸ‘

  23. We were out yesterday testing the route - plenty of new roads from previous years, some previous in reverse, and a good handful that I've not been on before. We came across a couple of road closures - ventured into them and came out the other end, so I'm guessing they were finished and hadn't taken the signs down. 197 miles all-up, technical in the morning, and opening up and sweeping in the afternoon. More loops and bi-directional, so you'll bump into more of the clan through the day (hopefully not literally). Now the route is proved, I've started on the route book. For those who have not been on the run before, there is no map-reading – well, not until you get lost and have to open the emergency envelope with has a map of the area with waypoints to get back on track, and the destination. The whole route is navigated using β€˜tulips’, like what the old-school rally cars used before pace-notes (and still use for the touring sections between stages). On the test run, we tried a free android tripmeter app, which proved to be quite stable and accurate, and also showed our car's tripmeter to be on-par - but not all cars are accurate, so I recommend this app. However, with the screen lit all the time, the phone didn't last the full route, so you'll need ciggie charger.
