Elan Valley twixt the odd rain shower today!

I'm trying to hunt down our families old Westfield. We sold it many years ago, but I can see it's still around and last changed hands during 2020. If anyone knows who owns it, I'd love to chat to them to see if they'd be willing to part ways (Especially as it's now SORN). Here's a few pictures of it from "Back in the day":

I didn't buy the completion package either and sourced most from elsewhere as I wasn't too keen on the complete SDV design. I reckon you should still be able to build from what you have plus what is easily available elsewhere. It is such a shame you couldn't get the bodywork, but the build will be worth it

Last V5C change was 8th June 2020 so it potentially changed hands then or the owner maybe moved house. colour is now also listed as grey.

At least with the MOT so recently expired, there’s hope it’s still alive.

That's about as far as I've gotten Scott. 😕 Not being able to see where MOT's are done anymore makes it a lot trickier. Cheers, hopefully it's a positive outcome.

I'm trying to look at it in some kind of positive light, now i'll be able to choose which parts i want exactly and maybe save a little here and there. Maybe i'll just have an aero screen and then i won't need anything to do with the windscreen etc. Luckily for me people such as your good self have lots of knowledge and it means i can hopefully still complete the car. I say complete, i haven't started. I didn't want to destroy the Mx5 until i had some hope of completing it.

June 18th, 2022 Spend: £54.04 For a while I was planning to replace my rear lights with something homebrew as I just can not find a nice aftermarket set that I like as much as I did on my previous Westfield. Having already replaced my fog and reverse lights with those from the LED AutoLamps 82 Series, I thought maybe I should do the same for the indicators and stop/tail lights...? The old units are quite wide, and these round lights are slightly taller than the space available, so out came Fusion360 and with a mockup of the rear arch part, I designed a holder for them that covers the old fixing holes and follows the arches. After a few iterations and trial fits, the ultimate design was printed using ToughPLA. 4 captive nuts are embedded in the print so they are screwed on and easily replaced if they are damaged, or if I'm bored with the current design I've had to replace the indicator relay as the current load is now too low for the original relay.
