  1. Sat watching Wheeler Dealers and Ant Anstead said 'this car has had more issues than Beano' made me chuckle and unfortunately I was just thinking about poor Glynn who had missed our last run due to clutch 'issues' and so Beano was born, my new name for Glynn's car. The Naming Ceremony commenced, although @HB46443's car is probably more worthy of the name at the mo, it all makes the world go round. Presenting Glynn and BEANO with their comic Meeting at McD's in the hot sun, phew. There is always one @Lee Bennett Luke and Deanne made it after a loose fuel pipe on the filter, making a 9 car meet. After a brew we went through Chatsworth, up near Abney Gliding Club, through pretty Castleton, to let all the traffic come down over the cattle grid, that was kind of me wasn't it😉. Now we had a clear run up Winnat's Pass, yes, and a clear run down Mam Nick to land at The Rambler Inn, Edale. Where else do you go on your birthday but to the best of the best. Best roads, best pub. Expecting to sit outside, Edale is 600ft up and it was now cold and windy, so after parking up we scurried inside for a small beef dinner, with a proper Yorkshire pudding. Glen celebrated my birthday for me by having a pint of Dortmunder Vier, mmm. Our return journey took us over Surprise View and on to lower ground for the cakey bit. It was a tad warmer so we got to enjoy the outdoors, Luke was dressed in true Honda style with shorts and a T-shirt on. I can assure you, I had my thermal trousers on, next it was time for Rocky Road and flapjack with raspberry and white chocolate, although the chocolate orange cake was popular too. Cars parked at the Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale. Hey, these do breakfast, shall we try this as a meeting point next time? Big Andy is well known for having been chased by a chicken, so it was payback time as he mounted a co...shut it @Glynn Walters here is the DBPower jump starter that we keep in our car. Good to see @BillyPee back out temporarily with a new blue roof on the Porsche and having had the steering wheel recovered after it had delaminated. His Westfield has had a bonnet respray and flared side panels fitted so is expected to be back on the road in July before having the tub sprayed during the winter. Glynn has fitted a new slave cylinder and a clutch with a smaller plate after his issues last time we were out, this man doesn't hang around getting his car back up and running. I am sure there is a more technical name for 'clutch with a smaller plate' but hey, it's me talking here, cut me some slack😃 @LukeW had us all 'squealing' with laughter at his brakes, which were also squealing, thankfully he left a large gap from the car in front to reduce the need to brake, nice one. Although I have missed my other Honda Boys today it has been a fantastic birthday and I could not think of anything that I would rather do, so thank you everyone for turning up, eating lot's and driving well. We love Westfield's, they are absolutely the very best things in the world, LONG LIVE THE WESTFIELD BRAND ❤️

  2. Folks, keep in mind that WSC Ltd was part of a group of companies, you may find it’s not so straightforward in terms of ownership of individual elements as you think. Until the insolvency practice has prepared their report, all this is just wild speculation, which may turn out to be well off track. As much as it’s in our nature to pick over the bones, and speculate, we need to hang back until we have more facts to go on.

  7. Happy birthday again Julie🍰, another cracking outing and thanks for the new name for my car (I think….?😂) May have had a few teething issues over the last year or so! But I guess that’s the joys of Westfield ownership and all part of the fun👍 almost right on the clutch mod/repair, but I just copied the S2000 boy’s and replaced master cylinder from 0.75” to 0.625” as the Mazda clutch has always been a bit short, stiff and grabby! (Ooer missus…!) And changed the slave cylinder for a better quality. But we’ll let you off as it’s your birthday😜 May have done some shopping online too when I got back for the cars new name😉

  8. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes, cake, chocolates and Rocky Road (rather apt for the Peak District) have been consumed today. Glen treated me to a flight in a glider (and probably a life insurance policy) for my birthday and I have had a great day out on the club run, thank you. Cheers everyone xxxx

  9. Another part run from me (I'll be getting a reputation soon) but great to see everyone at McDonalds in Matlock, and A good, if brief, run for me in order to get back for the Holymoorside Jubilee Party in the park. Very successful day all in all. A few pics from McD's. Sorry to have missed the (birthday) cake! The party in the park was worth going to though and there were some nice cars there to look at too.

  10. What a great turnout for Rob's mainly 'Red and Yellow' rabble. 👏 Don't get too use to that colour mix, else you'll start wiping out sumps every trip and warping cylinder heads etc.🤡

  13. Fantastic turnout today for Nik, really quite heart warming! John, Alex, Tim, Colin, Ben and I met up at Ashby. Then met Dale and Hedley at Atherstone for an eight car convoy (including a tintop). Getting to the pub, we met another 4 Westfields plus assorted American V8's, dragsters and classics. "Mental Breakdown", a 1700bhp VW Bus! 😂 Thanks everyone for coming, we did what we hoped to do and put a big grin on the face of a fellow Westfield enthusiast at a very tough time 👍

  15. For sale is my Westfield Honda Mega S2000 FW. It was built by a well-respected member on here and I bought it from another member. It is a reluctant sale, due to having young family, I’m just not getting the time to use it. So, unfortunately after a lot of thought, I have decided to put it up for sale. The car is in very good condition and has only covered 16,105 miles. It is loaded with extras, factory options and upgrades. The engine that went in has a mileage of around 25,000. I have the MOT Certificate to prove this. In total it has only covered 41,000. As we all know, these engines just keep running, so very low mileage for this engine and seems hard to find one with such low mileage. It also has quite a lot of carbon bits - floor strips, mirrors, pedal box cover, wheel arch protectors & the dash is carbon effect. The car has been kept in my garage under a cover. The mileage is unlikely to change much now and will be kept in my garage under a cover. As you can see by the photos, how neat the wiring etc is shows the condition of this car. It comes with lots of extras/everything you need - 2x keys, folder full of paperwork, cover, roof, side doors, side wind deflectors, seat bolsters, K&N air filter, exhaust de cat pipe, race dash kit & full-size number plate. I have all the build and parts paperwork. I had it fully serviced in February 2022, I have all the paperwork and receipts. These didn’t need doing but I like to make sure everything is done. So, it had the air filter, spark plugs replaced and engine oil, gearbox oil, diff oil, clutch fluid and anti-freeze replace. I spent about £550 to get everything done. This car is on the front cover of the WSCC 2022 calendar and is used on the Westfield website to advertise the Sport 250, as they didn’t have any sport 250s, they used this. I will add these in the photos below. I am looking for around 24.5k. All the details and photos are below, I have tried to add as many photos as possible so you can see the condition etc. If you have any questions, please reply to this or send me a message on here. 19. This is incredible that companies that could easily be classed as competitors are so willing to assist in anyway possible as opposed to saying "tough, don't care". Just goes to show that we really are part of a small but unique group of enthusiasts keen to help others out! Shame the rest of the world wasn't the same🤔 I take my hat of to you @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairmanand the others involved in the background rallying around. Amazing work👍

  41. Good to know the M/C fitted up ok. Given the function , for peace of mind I would swap the unions on the brake pipes for longer threaded ones if it looks to only ‘just’ be long enough. Alternatively, could the bosses on the m/c be filed back to effectively have more clearance to the threaded hex? A photo of the pipes entering the m/c would be good @Hafod Just my engineering OCD. I can’t help myself being concerned as the lack of a robust fluid seal would be not worth thinking about! Not wishing to steal your success Andy

  47. One of the highlights of my year is receiving the government-produced information on state elections, and this year is no exception. As it’s a primary election to narrow down candidates for different state offices, this one has no issues or referendums to consider, so the voters can concentrate on finding the right persons for the offices up for grabs. This booklet is sent out in advance, giving you lots of time to read and study. This 64-page guide hit my doorstep recently, and I thought I’d share a few of the highlights: There are 14 different offices up for contention and 64 candidates vying for my vote for those offices. As long as you manage to meet the criteria to get on the ballot, the state is obliged to give you a space in this guide for you to say whatever you like, and that you think would encourage people to vote for you. For instance, this is Douglas. He’s running for United States Senator. This is pretty much standard wide-ranging fare that he hopes you will like. Everyone knows this is preposterously ambitious, but he’s allowed to say it. This is Obaidul. He was too busy creating his website to cut and paste something about what he stands for in to be included in the free state guide that went to every voter in California. It’s up to us as voters to research him, I guess. This is Don. For some reason, Don doesn’t want to share what he looks like with us, but he does want to share his views. Which are strong, numerous and somewhat uncompromising. This is John. I can’t help feeling that, realistically, John might be in the wrong country, but hey ho, good luck John. This is Chuck. Apparently, Chuck thinks God has chosen him to make the whole country “righteous again”. I was unaware that it had ever been whatever “righteous” is to start with at any point, or if it’s even possible, but Chuck is sure God wants it. This is Akinyemi. Apparently, he is the only person who can revive a collapsed America, so you must vote for him. It’s certainly a concise argument. This is Mariana. I’m not sure if by this policy she means figuratively or literally, but I know I’d watch and find out. This is Armando. I have no idea what Armando stands for, but he’d like your money to help him do it as soon as possible. This is Daniel. He’s a sovereign citizen who supports the parts of the constitution he likes and believes laws don’t apply to him unless they help him persecute and sue others who try to enforce the laws he doesn’t like. Apparently Jesus is on his side too. This is Dan. He’s an animal rights attorney. I had no idea animals were rich enough to hire attorneys, but you learn something new every day. Dan wants to empty the jails. Dan also needs to hire a better photographer. This is where the good citizens of District 3 find out no one cares about them. You know the saying that we get the government we deserve? If that’s the case, it seems we’ve been very, very bad people.
