With 18 cars and well over 20 people coming on half term holiday week I had a last minute panic for where to go that would fit us all in, the landlord of the Bentley Brook had been very welcoming last time we went so I rang him up and he was straight there, 'Yes come along, we can feed you all, I will block the top car park off ready for you' so a quick change of route and all was well, phew. We arrived to see Glynn, not only could he not find that cake he had hidden under the bonnet earlier 😄 but also his hydraulic clutch was not working. He couldn't get the gears and thought that removing a washer would change where it bites and fix it. Dave E was quick to give advice with IanK and RobH quick to lend their mole grips. I was the clutch peddle pusher of course, any excuse to try out the driving position of another Westfield. A test drive around the car park, btw Glynn, it sounded good! We were many cars, 18 I think, in McD's car park We did filled a good section of the McD's restaurant too Next, we set off for a major pose through Matlock Bath, where we got plenty of views before setting off on the open country roads. Glynn waved as he went past shouting 'Clutch not good!!.' and headed for home. Another pose through Bakewell before going onto the really empty country roads, past all the motorbikers that now all seem to congregate in Monyash, before taking that last amazing Bentley Brook Road. We followed 3 TVR's for a while and saw lots of motorbikes, more than normal, but saw no other interesting vehicles en route. The weather stayed dry with a mixture of sun and cloud, better than Monaco hey. We arrived at the Bentley Brook Inn, 16 cars in total, what a great drive we had. The Bentley Brook Inn. The carvery was on as well as the full menu, the food is excellent here, it is well staffed with quick service too. Great fangs 🧛♀️ there John at the head of the table. But what a wonderful surprise, Glynn (at the head of the table) had popped home, jumped in the tin top and came back to meet us for lunch, how lovely. Luke had only got one wing on his car so couldn't make it out but did say to come and see him on our way home. Where was he? at Adam's Happy Hen's of course, so off we went. One of @HB46443 Hedley's friends was there too😃 Adam's Happy Hen's Luke, Gemma and Libby helped us to empty the shop of traybakes and ice cream. Yep, another super fantastically fun day out, thanks folks and a big thank you to Rob for bringing so many and looking after them. Next weekend is the Jubillee so I will be really careful to avoid it, for instance, the Bentley Brook Inn has live music and a BBQ on next Sunday, that will mean - busy. Join us if you can ❤️11 points

Brilliant day out, big thanks to @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative for organising it 👍 Us "southern softies" met up near Derby to convoy up to Matlock, I was expecting 4 or 5 cars and ended up with 10! Amazing turnout! Gary peeled off in Matlock to head home and Glynn had a bit of clutch trouble (hope its an easy fix mate!), but we still had 16 cars flying in formation when we landed for lunch near Ashbourne 👌9 points

Absolutely gutted I missed today. It looked like a fantastic run. A lack of sleep and midwife duties today meant I just couldn’t come to play. That being said the S2000 demo rebuild fund is growing quite well. Names so far are head refurb, timing chain kit, super charger and turbo. At least 2 more to come too lol.5 points

Sorry to have missed a really big run but as Julie said above, I had some issues refitting my cycle wings after fitting my new wheels which meant the car wasn't usable today. I gained some brownie points by taking Libby out for the morning, then we had a family walk to Happy Hens, where we met up with the tail end of the Peak District group run out. Great to see everyone even if the silage collection was a bit noisy. Once we got home I set to finishing off the refitting of the cycle wings to fit the new wider wheels- have to say it was worth the wait in my eyes 😃 Wouldn't be right not to have some local cow muck across the wheel arches. Looks aside these wheels are 4.9kg each, a saving of 5.2kg per wheel over the previous set!3 points

Hi all, I’ve just joined the owners club having bought my first Westfield. I’ve craved one for 20 years and it was only a matter of time. I viewed a few and had a great trip to Toybox where the guys were really helpful, but I eventually found a car elsewhere and within budget and I’m over the moon with it. I plan to take it, weather permitting, to Baston Car and Bike Show at Grimsthorpe Castle on Sunday 10th July. If anyone else is going it would be great to say hello. https://www.bastoncarshow.com I’m based in Stamford, not too sure if there are many other members in my area. cheers, Dave2 points

I actually started, last from the pit lane. I was suited, booted and strapped into the car ready to go while it was still on stands and the engine hadn’t run. Talk about close. Ended 23 out of 33 which I’m taking as a win! Biiiiiiig smile on my face! The bad news is, no go pro footage1 point
