  2. 11 Westfield's and a Porsche met at McDonald's. The Porsche Owners Corner Ooh, how did that pic get there Some of us in McDonald's @aeg and Becky had very kindly helped Hedley personalise the seating in his car earlier this week and here he was securing the fuses Time to move it and we had a pose through Matlock Bath, got our photo took there, then we were off up the twisty Via Gellia, round to catch the twisty Elton Esses before having the flowing Bentley Brook road, oh bliss. What lovely roads and beautiful views for a line of 11 cars to experience. Lunch was at The Bentley Brook Inn. Hedley has such a wonderful nature and laughed as a tractor was planted on his nose cone The carvery was on and was the best dinner we have had yet in the Peak District. Note to self, come here again! We enjoyed the warm sun in the garden and lingered longer than usual, thank you to Hedley for the extra drinks See Julian, you do take a lovely photo The Bentley Brook Inn The journey home was not without issue. Luke met us en route and led us into Bakewell where I picked up a funny noise. We all pulled over (ABC, Big Andy, us and Luke) My tyre wasn't flat but a quick scoot around the block to listen resulted in Big Andy pulling a screw out of it, it was at an angle and had not penetrated the tyre luckily. We didn't make it past Adam's Happy Hen's without calling in for tray bakes and ice creams, thanks to ABC for sharing the Bakewell (my favourite). Jaaag at AHH, smelled as nice as it looked Thanks for coming everyone, thanks Hedley for the filming and the 'super' noise as you flew past, it's been another great day out xxx

  3. Thanks @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative for another fab day out! Glynn, Hedley, Tony, John and myself met up bright and early this morning at the A50/A38 services. The supercharged duo of course had to make one of many stops for fuel..... making all these whooshing and stabbed pidgeon noises seems to be an expensive hobby! 😂 Then we were off up the back roads through Wirksworth to stretch the cars legs before landing at Maccie D's. A cheeky mcmuffin and then we were off on some of my favourite Peaks roads before stopping for lunch served with a liberal sprinkling of banter! Cracking line up of cars, including a stunning 911 😍 Great to see you all 👍

  4. These pictures are 19 years apart. The Tiger was built by me in 2003 and long since sold. And my son's Westfield taken today after it's winter refurb that we've almost completed!

  7. Hi @Callinswood Thanks for the shout @Scott Young (Captain Colonial) - Club Secretary Q419VWP is very much in the land of the living - complete with its fresh MOT. Since getting the car (8 years now) I have done so much work, it's been so rewarding. . I did find a pic on this forum of the car with the Westfield stickers, but they were gone when I got the car from a guy in Spalding. I have had contact from another previous owner from this forum too. You can catch up with some of my shenanigans at my blog here Here's a photo from the pistonheads ad from when I got the car. Here's a recent photo

  12. A good first run for the McWesty season, thanks John. Though I didn't need the tyre smoke cloud creating emergency stop as a numpty in an electric tupperware box pulled out in front of me from a side road, mid Westy line travelling at open road speed! If I get hungry, I'll come up with a chippie dinner run as per last year - June/July. Next (so far) scheduled McWesty run is the Scottish Lowlans Navigation Mystery Run Mystery Run on Saturday 13th Aug - other areas, please join in if you like. Details here...

  13. It was a V8 Auto to boot. Didn't sound quite as good as Andrew's Westfield (or mine, in my opinion 😄 ) but still very nice.

  15. Thanks to Mike & Lianne for hosting our weigh in. Nice breakfast and good to see the usual crowd for a chinwag. Here's SootySport2 with not quite a 'Toovey Race' race engine.

  19. Had to slope off early but really good turnout today, good to put some more faces to names. Great selection of westies, tiger, caterham, lotus and we even collected a stunning Morgan on the way round. Thanks to John for organising and the guys at the immaculate Milton garage for hosting us, hope you enjoyed the post lunch run.

  21. Just been told I’ve got to finish emptying our storage unit tomorrow so won’t be able to make it tomorrow. However the £100 a month I’ll be saving will help pay for shiny car upgrades so I shouldn’t complain! See you at the end of the months run.
