  1. These pictures are 19 years apart. The Tiger was built by me in 2003 and long since sold. And my son's Westfield taken today after it's winter refurb that we've almost completed!

  2. @Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO ... I couldn't find a topic covering the run & celebration of Gary Neal's life but I just wanted to say thank you for helping to organise it. Please could you also pass my thanks to Gary's wife & family for the chance to reminisce about such a top bloke. Unfortunately I didn't take many pictures but I did get a chance to get a birds eye view of these four cars from the balcony. My Cobra is there along the Westfield's of@Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative , @Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO & @Big Andy.

  3. Thanks everyone. I didn't post this on the forum as it was more of a personal, family and friends event more than a Westfield meeting. It was a celebration of Gary's life with like minded people who drive a verity of cars. I led the convoy of Westfields, Cobras, a couple of American classics, a BMW and a motorbike over to the Motorist where more cars joined us with Gary's family and friends. Coffee and sausage sarnies were consumed, and lots of memories were made. Thanks to all who came, I know the family appreciated it.

  6. I had forgotten just what an eyeful that Cobra of yours is @Andy_R and it really shows it on that photo👍, what a beautiful car Cobra parked at Rothwell Sports Centre with us and @Big Andy @Yorkshire_Pudding and dad, Barry with @marcusbat Rothwell Sports Centre Other followers of @Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO arrived too Robin kindly led us all to The Motorist for the celebration of Gary's life where we met and were fed by Gary's family, please pass our thanks on for inviting us. The Motorist is an amazing place for petrol heads, I can absolutely recommend a visit there, here are some pics to whet your apetite The cafe indoor seating area Gary's wife had arranged for us to park in front of the room that they hired upstairs, meaning our cars were on show in front of the cafe area Inside the building @Barnsley John and Jacky arrived on their motorbike, that increased the average age of the punters by a significant amount Views over lunch were good Thanks to AndyR for leading us back to the motorway which we drove for a short while before picking up the Strines road for a twisty run home through the Peak District and finishing at an old watering hole, The Wheatsheaf, Baslow for tea with Andy and Debs. Brill day out, great to see the Yorkshire crew as always, including Johnno, Frank, Rickyboy and Vicky, love to you all xxxxx and a great big thanks to Robin for inviting us xxxx

  9. Calling @fossett to the thread please - it would appear he’s got the car out in Suffolk. He hasn’t been in the forums for a few weeks now, so you may have to be patient. 😄

  10. Er, why can you only advertise in one place? Seriously though, it’s free for members to advertise here, so I’d definitely use the forum, but there’s nothing wrong with putting it up in a few places, too, though obviously, some you will need to pay for. Depends how quickly you need to sell, I guess? Generally speaking, it also depends how specialised a version it is, too. In your case though, should sell well anywhere. Some of the more heavily modified competition or track day cars, can sometimes sell faster in more focused groups/web sites, on the other hand.

  13. With such a low mileage diesel, you should probably budget for a possible clogged DPF. Also, best to look up symptoms of problems with the DSG gearbox (2 versions, a 6 speed wet clutch and a 7 speed dry clutch) before you drive it so you know what to look for. Later ones were much more reliable but if they have problems they are very expensive to fix.

  14. Gary also turned up in the MEV And Greg (who has a Striker and a Fury) decided to bring his superbike out for a change.... note the NOS bottle on the side as he is an absolute madman! 😂

  17. Anyone looking to buy a Westfield will almost certainly look in here. There have been 26 Westies for sale this year already and good cars at the right price tend not to hang around for long. The key is a well-worded ad, with good detail and good photos Good luck

  19. I have emailed them to see if I/ we can just turn up if I let them know before hand. Or if I need to be there as part of a club that is already present. I have said that there may be 1 or 2 more from wscc if we can just turn up. I guess we just need a small banner lol be the near biggest club with the smallest representation lol Would be nice to have more than just me there 😀 Anywho. Will see what they reply back on email and let you know
