Hello WSCC people! I joined the club moments ago and wanted to say hello. I'm Steve from Mildenhall in Suffolk. I had an ex-track day Avon Tiger until last year, and wanted to replace it with a quick Westfield. I'm also building a Spaceframe 'Maguire' Mini tribute to Peter Baldwin's 80's racer. I’ve just taken ownership of the ex-John Louden / Peter O’Connor Hillclimb and Sprint Westfield SE. It's a well known car; the car held lots of records and won many championships in Sprints and Hillclimb events. I’m putting it back on the road, and yesterday it passed the MOT. So I refitted the lights, took off the slicks, and fitted some 888Rs. The sequential box is tricky to use - and with 220hp and less than 500kg, this car is ridiculously quick! We are setting off in the morning for set up with the WSCC not NWKCOG 😮 MrH is almost Welsh so he can go and cross-fertilise with some sheep🐑😂 also he doesn’t need a recovery cert, in his head it doesn’t exist 🙄

Well I've bit the bullet and purchased my first Westfield 7. I've loved the look of them years and finally had the funds, after selling my MGB, to scratch the 7 itch. Mine car is a 2004 new build SEIW 1800cc Zetec injection, dark blue, 2 owner with just 4300 miles on the clock. First impressions were, bl**** hell the rides a bit harsh and running like a wet fart at lower revs. I've adjusted the suspension so rides a lot better on our naff pot holed roads. The wet fart running I'm putting down to car having been stored for quite a while and having stale fuel. I'm putting in decent high ron fuel with some snake oil injector cleaner with the hope that'll clear itself. Ta Bondy.

Dark blue is a good colour (not that I am biased in any way).

AB spec bonnet with higher scoop to clear the airbox. Never fitted. Has been in storage for a while so may have the odd mark. Nose and scuttle have both been fitted so have holes etc. All very presentable though with no damage £400 collection only

My new-to-me SE seconds before the slicks came off and the Proxes went on. Needed something to help me keep my sanity while my Mini comes together s-l-o-w-l-y 😆
