For a sunny Sunday, the roads were remarkably free of dawdling Sunday drivers an errant cyclists. This was one of the fastest runs I've been on, and the whole train of a dozen Westfields (after Labrat baled out early for family duties...) stayed pretty much together for the whole run - remarkable. As anyone who has been on a multi-car run knows, the people at the back have to work pretty hard to keep up. Seeing as the roads were so empty, I have it on good authority that Julie may have drifted ever so slightly above the posted speed limit on one or two (or more) occasions. This meant that the back of the convoy was having a great time exploring the upper limits of grip round some of the twistier bits.... Good fun 😁6 points

Have fun guys, remember if you see an MX5 in your mirrors, he's faster than you so let him through.3 points

Great to see everyone and have a Westfield to drive in too. The view from the back of the convoy was amazing- the colours were really popping with the full sunshine. Sorry we missed you at Happy Hens this time- I was busy being hoodwinked into having a tropical freshwater aquarium.... watch this space. A different angle from the carpark in Matlock (complete with finger tip!) See you next time.2 points

@scott_prelit or @Insuranceman if you want a double drive I think they allowed additional drivers on the day. Then just go half with me on the fuel and we split the booking fees for a cheap last minute “arrive n drive“ MX5 track day 👍1 point

Well, it’s a US product, so probably not. It contains “diminishing abrasives”, whatever they are, so perhaps a bit like T-Cut. If you have it, I’d suggest testing it somewhere inconspicuous to limit possible damage (like inside the boot box, etc.) before moving onto major body panels. (Besides, some Americans are dodgy people. I can provide club witnesses who can verify.)1 point

I challenge anyone to go through those bends at more than 50 mph, although @Scotty72 I was tempted with that last overtake on the way home and stopped myself as we were already doing the speed limit. I can say that this morning I feel like I had a good work out yesterday and my fitbit tells me I did a hours cycling 11:00-12:00😮1 point

Oh my, what a run, what a blinking run, no traffic and lots of turns, with such amazing views. I don't seem to have taken many photo's today so it's a good job you got some good ones @Andy Westwood Meeting at Mcd's, Matlock were 13 Westfield's, all looking good. We did The Square Route of Buxton and finished at Blaze Ice Cream Farm. This route is just the best and I will leave it at that. Inside it got a bit messy And the naughty behavior carried on outside More twisty, scenic roads took us off in our different directions, leaving ABC, Mad Dog Pete and us to have a last brew at Adam's Happy Hen's. Thanks for coming everyone, nice to see the SORN's back out and a few newbie's to keep us fresh, do come again. See you all next Sunday at Stoneleigh. What a route, did I mention that!! it's nothing without all you guys though XXXXXXX1 point

Impromptu little meet up at Curborough this morning to watch a bit of sprinting in the sunshine 🌞 Then back home to be greeted by the grandkids.... little George is desperate to get out in Grandads "racing car", sadly he has to make do with sitting on my lap when I drive it into the garage for now 😂1 point

It’s going to be off the road for a while😭, taken the prop of tonight and the noise is still there, I suspect the output shaft in the gearbox has failed. It’s looking like a new gearbox is needed.0 points
