10 cars met at McD's on a warm and sunny Easter Sunday, 9 Westfield's and Andy with his son, Josh in the Porsche. Excuse me while I have a Porsche moment. Josh tried the Westfield's for size, just in case dad wants to buy one 😉 Parked at McD's After Nigel fine tuned my route 😁 he then declared that he had bought the drone with him and if I could find some quiet road he would film the cars for us, it is rude to refuse so here we are. Mine All of us After the filming we got a clear run up Crowdecote, came back round on the new road and landed at Hulme End where we just about managed to fill the car park up. At Hulme End Bonnets came off Car park Big Andy and Debs were waiting for us, they are supposed to be at their caravan but managed to sneak out and meet us. Over in the red corner Martin Glynn A was bribed into revealing his super charged Honda engine for us to feel inadequate over Nigel was checking the weight of his bonnet so he can decide if he wants a carbon fibre one or not😉 Painting carbon fibre is not a crime and Nigel's car looks lovely for it. It is a religious day so Rob was blessing Glynn. We have been blessed with quiet roads and great company, but if you all don't behave yourselves this will be the future Thanks for a great day out everyone and thank you for your comments and photo's afterwards, it makes all the effort worthwhile xxx9 points

What sort. I knocked up a frame of my roll bar and windscreen made from wood at almost the right angles. Covered it in 3mm ply and did the bendy bits in cardboard then covered it in cheap duct tape. Lathered that in furniture polish then laid up a thin shee of fibre glass on the mold. Offered that up to the car to make sure it fitted then tried it to size, laid the top on the angle of the windscreen and put a lip on the back to slot over the roll bar. Not bad for someone whose never made anything from fibre glass before4 points

Was gutted to miss today, but got fifteen minutes from home, all going well, and a variation on the misfire returned. After checking at home, the original Honda plugs that connect to the (all brand new) ignition coils sat on top of each spark plug, are showing various degrees or heat ageing and failing. So new Sumitomo plugs ordered, hopefully should only take a few days to get them. Looks like you all had a fantastic time, not jealous at all!1 point

The entry/camping fees are for everyone, the WSCC volunteers that camp in our volunteer area will have the same fee this year as those in the main camping area, as far as I understand it. I’ve booked for camping and show entry, and emailed the team at stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk to volunteer on the Sunday/Monday. Will probably pop down in the tin top on the Saturday to help set up. Then Westfield it for the show.1 point

My understanding is it won't be until the closing date for volunteers. Book your own places either day tickets, or camping, (which includes day ticket) direct with Stoneleigh. (I've just booked my camping pass). Yes, we will all have to pay this year. Our Treasurer is working on something where we can help support our volunteers this year, but needs confirmation which due to the bank holiday he won't be able to speak to the office till Tuesday. There won't be any cash refunds, but we are looking into some kind of voucher/credit for the WSCC volunteers. Precise details as soon as we've confirmed.1 point

I love seeing Westfields queued up at a port, reminds me of the fun and adventure these cars embody.1 point

Hi Paul, KGM, like many other specialist insurers are broker only - meaning that you cannot get insurance directly through them but via a broker like ourselves. Now when it comes to their reviews, and other broker only insurers, this is often a reflection of the service offered by a broker. Our service and reviews are outstanding whether you look at our facebook (fb.com/aplanspecialist) or trustpilot etc. But not all brokers are as fabulous as us an unfortunately these reviews do get left against the insurers by mistake sometimes just because that's the name people see when they check the docs. We have an inhouse claims team and our claims manager is Mark, who is actually fantastic and is so good at what he does, I couldn't do it! So in the event of the claim 90% of the time you'll deal with us, any issues you deal with us and we will deal with the insurers - we have access to their portals for updates for many of them and if not we will sit on hold for hours so you don't have to I'm pretty sure Mark hears hold music in his sleep. 7. Breakdown cover - we have a specialist breakdown cover designed around the kit owner! £44.95, includes home start, roadside assistance, onward journey, recovery and EU if you are planning that trip to Le Mans I've used it personally, more times than I'd like to admit! This specialist product is only available to clients, so can't be bought on it's own if you don't have anything with us - our higher priced standard breakdown can be purchased by all. You also have the added benefit of having access to me online - and out of hours if you do have any queries. I rely on notifications on here when I'm not on PC but I'm on facebook 7 days a week and as long as I am awake I will respond. (fb.com/carlieaplan) Carlie1 point

Sorry folks, got fifteen minutes out from home and miss-fire is back, RTB. I'll have to miss today's run. (It's just slightly different from last time, I'm suspecting the original Honda electrical connectors on the coils. Will have a proper look when it's cooled a little.)0 points
