  4. Great run and meet today. Started at Edenbridge then 86 mile's zigzaging across East Sussex and Kent culminating at Hawkhurst fisheries for a well deserved breakfast.

  5. Golly, lots of photo's today but then again lots of people have been on their knees praying to the Westfield Gods that they get home with a full bottle of coolant😁, making for many excellent photo opportunities. Glynn was first to arrive at Quackers and his car sounded wonderful now his throttle bodies have been fitted. He was soon joined by 11 more Westfield's, a RAW Striker, a VX220 and a Porsche, 15 cars in total, wow😍. Plus Paul and Margaret Hurdsfield who joined us for breakfast and collected a roll bar. First car of many to have a wee wee today was Dave's We were actually busy admiring Dave's new wheels, which have Uniroyal Rainsport 5 tyres on and having a fat, rounded shape just look amazing, perhaps the best set up I have ever seen on a Westfield. They really do look fantastic👍 have a look here Parked at Quackers We all took a seat on the sun terrace and enjoyed our first refreshments of the day. The long convoy set off down the 13 bends, up to Owler Bar for the cracking scenery on Surprise View before taking in the Winnat's Pass and Mam Nick. We pulled into the Rambler Inn, Edale in time for the next wee wee of the day which was from Lee who had a slight oil leak after over-tightening a nut. Out came the tool box and the praying began The Rambler Inn car park Mmm, the Sunday dinner's arrived thick and fast. Chicken leg's anyone? We came out of the pub to the next wee wee of the day, this time it was Martin's turn to get down on his knee's and pray Tool box out too Big Andy didn't want to be left out so he had a little wee too Bagpuss looking sweet and innocent in the afternoon sunshine, despite his naughtiness😍 @HB46443 was greatly missed today and we hope that you are feeling ok after a spot of bad luck with one of these Westfield munching machines We all departed our separate ways from the pub and with the lengthening days ABC, son Mad Dog Pete, Big Andy and Debs came with Glen and I to Adam's Happy Hen's where ABC treated us to tea and ice cream, THANKYOU. Parked at Adam's Happy Hen's in the sinking sun Thank you to all that came today, to Rob for bringing Gregg (we need to see the Fisher Fury next time!), Julian on his second visit, newbie Barry who bought his sweet 10 years old son Tom, Martin out of hibernation and Si for coming all those miles PLUS all the regulars who are so great at making everyone feel welcome. Great to see so many out today, the cars looked amazing and everyone seemed to get sorted in the end, but do please go and check your bottom hose on your radiator as it is the new fashion for it to leak. Next weekend is Mother's Day so we will be reverting to cafe's as they are quieter than the pubs, see you then!

  6. Another great run out today. My personal favourite moment was getting the split pack rescued at a roundabout and then getting caught off guard when your rescuer boots it into the distance. I really need to work out how to get commission from Insta as it seems like everyone is getting them now. There should be plenty of great footage though which is good. Just a shame that the quality drops so much putting it through YouTube.

  11. I done my ceiling in upvc tongue and groove, in fact I done the walls also. I was going to plaster and skim as I can skim it but I was drawn to the upvc for the reason that it can be wiped clean and easy to work with especially on your own! As previously mentioned I insulated between the joists and then fitted 4x twin 5ft led strip lights and its always nice and bright. My walls are also insulated and in the summer the temp never goes about 20 degrees and in the winter I've never seen it drop below 8 degrees. I'm not sure what the cladding costs now but no doubt alot more nowadays 🤨 You also have added benefit of upvc angled strips to tidy up edging/corners. My garage is approx 19x17ft. Not the best pic but you can get an idea of how it looks:

  13. First public day, that is. The Sunday. Don't get confused nearer the time about talk of the Saturday - that's the shows set up day, you will be very welcome to come down and help on the Saturday, too, of course. Just there's not that much to see, at that point! A few of us local, often do a rolling start, to join the convoy as it comes through jn17/Sandbach. Or there is a formal gathering point at Knutsford services. Whilst not quiet as epic as the nineties early 2000's convoys, the Stoneleigh M6 Convoy is still a thing to experience, at least once, (and hopefully many times) in your kit car ownership.

  14. a good cup of strong coffee at Quackers is a good remedy😁 We did a test drive today, messes with your head though seeing a Westfield parked in the disabled bay at Quackers😃 Glen is hoping to be able to walk up from the normal car park on Sunday but please bear with him if he is a bit slow, the prospect of cake will spur him on 🥕

  15. My first experiences involved these…. and these….. We had a few film dubbing and editing suites as well. All 16mm stuff though. First bit of CGI I saw involved using a mainframe computer to render 1 frame at a time, then assemble-edit them one by one. Took a while, obviously, so they were usually set up to go overnight. More than once, I’d come in the next day and get called in to find a sad looking VPR-2 that had got fed up of passing the same piece of tape back and forth all night and had crapped out in spectacular fashion, sawing the tape in half, or just seizing up due to tape stiction. You youngsters with your fancy home-based NLE have no idea…. Ah, happy days.
