  3. I know! But from the Demon Tweeks web site, this quote is typical of the parts designers that didn't really understand the principal, so invented a new reason for the cover to be there

  4. Eek that's a terrible design then. The theory behind them in aviation is 'you sure you want to do that?' Or something that will have a consequence should it be knocked inadvertently stuff like Fuel jettison, generator disconnect, flight control reversion etc. And of course the top gun type stuff. God if it were the other way round

  5. Jeez, I think the Jubbly bit is the least of the issues on that plate!! Did they use Madam Tussauds for the portrait, or Stevie Wonder?

  7. And the ignition switch would drive you insane, on that V8 Trust me, as someone who's had a temporary ignition switch of the same flick down cover style, in a temporary position for a while, (behind my gear lever), the damn plastic covers are like a hair trigger, brush it and it snaps down, turning off the engine. Knock that one with a gloved hand on the wheel, mid corner, and off the engine goes, hopefully not taking you and the car with it!!!

  8. The conversion that Tony shows above uses Fiesta discs rather than the usual MKIII Escort front. The drive flanges fit under these without machining.
