  1. Probably should have thought about where I parked.

  4. Nah, at least 3 secs to spare, though from further back it may have looked differently! It was a leisurely pass in 3rd, could have dropped to 2nd for more zip 😉

  5. 😲 hope to see you both before you go😮 if not, have a grrrreat time out there xxxx Breakfast at Quackers was a well needed Almond Frangipan, how does the pastry crust stay so crispy and the middle be so soggy, it surely defies the laws of physics. Hedley, our Entertainments Manager, decided that we were to make a Western, aren't we all daft and very compliant Parked at Quackers, 8 Westfield's and 2 Porsches Rob and Tony had to escape South and AndyR took off North after breakfast, but it was lovely to see you all, thank you for joining us. The rest of us headed down the 13 bends, up Curbar Gap, down Surprise View before hitting the little lanes for the last section, landing us at The Eyre Arms, Calver for lunch. Curbar Edge Up to Curbar Gap Hairy legs and scruffy cars at the Eyre Arms Our Choreography Manager, Hedley, did a good job in the car park, of doing what we are not quite sure, but it was fun. Parked at The Eyre Arms, poor Big Andy had his car machined polished and ceramic coated last week, well now it is sludge coated too...for freeee😮 In the Eyre Arms You folks are all fantastic for coming out on a cold, at times damp, January day in our fun, summer cars. I hope that you have all enjoyed the route, the venues and the company, we certainly have XXXXXXXX🥰

  6. You make a very good point, which deserves further research, a precursory look though makes it seem unlikely. In the last three weeks we have had 3 million cases and 40,000 people hospitalised. In case number terms it is causing ‘I need to go to A&E’ harm to 1,300 in 100,000. We know that even mild to moderate ‘recover at home’ cases are doing harm, including Myocarditis in a high number of cases. The German study is backed up by another study (University of Washington) 71 days after recovery they find abnormal cardiac images in 78%, and ongoing Myocardial inflammation in 60%, of recovered cases, including those that had not required hospital, You see what we are doing here? We are comparing Myocardial inflammation in over 60% of recovered Covid cases with Myocardial inflammation in 1 in 20,000 vaccinations and suggesting Omicron is so much milder maybe the two are the same now? Overall, Covid has made 660,000 people in the UK sick enough for hospital and 1.2 million are reporting long Covid. Put that alongside whatever harm you think 130 million vaccine doses have done, in numbers and severity, what do you think the post vaccine hospitalisation numbers are? Of the ‘handful in 100,000’ (1 in 20,000) vaccine related myocarditis cases, how many went to hospital. With what medicine tells us historically about how viruses cause chronic illness, what we are seeing in studies, and what we are hearing from a million reported long Covid cases in the UK…Sometimes you know what the picture on a jigsaw is before you have finished it.

  8. One item I'd love to see back, is the old driver and passenger footwell mats, with a range of sizes to suit the current chassis range. They were really nice, especially with the thickly padded soft style drivers heel pad. I used to have a set for the previous car, but of course they didn't fit the S2000 chassis. (note, I means the proper mats, not just the regular carpet set). These were my old MT 75 set, factory price was £38 plus P&P back then. Worked over the top of a full carpet set, or in place of one.

  9. Rather annoyed that I missed this run, as I look very good in a hat! It was/is Ali’s birthday weekend/week though so we are away in the sunny riviera. Looked a fun day out, as ever 👍

  11. Great day out with Westfield Sports Car Club. Keep your eye out for the Western filmed on location in the Peak District. Everybody got involved to make what will be a poor Western, but we had fun anyway. Starring Peak District posse “broke back Bennett” “Cotten eyed Glen” Dave Eastwood, (Western baddie) as himself @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretaryand the Sheriff Calamity Julie. @Julie Hall - Joint Peak District AO Most definitely not for children, although I do recall seeing Bagpuss@Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO Now on for the cleaning. 12. Hi Guys, We asked you all a while back for some feedback on the changes and updates we had made to the shop and had some really positive feedback from what we had done. We are asking again if there is anything else we can improve on or anything that can be added or changed to make the shopping experience the best it can be for you all. Please let us know and we will set out to try and do our best to fulfil requirements Thanks as always WSC Parts Dept

  13. As I said you made a very good point, which deserves further research, According to a New Scientist publication from (...an Ohio University) 12 to 17 year olds get Myocarditis from (Old) Covid 6 times as often as from the Pfizer vaccine We don't know if the incidence of Myocarditis is different with Omicron, we don't know even know whether it is more or less severe post virus or post vaccine, but that age is where most of our cases are now. so what do we do? It is an ethical dilemma. Good spot though that we can't assume the numbers will stay the same. The next study should be 'Post Omicron Myocarditis in 12 to 17 year olds' I wouldn't say that, i probably have more time to refine than you.

  20. Little video of everyone leaving Quackers..... Sorry for the delay in the middle, we had to wait for Brokeback Bennett (aka @HB46443) to polish his rusty Sherrifs badge before he drove off... judging by the little slide in the car park, it may have needed cleaning again after this too 😂

  22. Great to meet up with everyone this morning and sorry I couldn't stay for the run & lunch. Hopefully everyone is enjoying the blat and the cowboy hats are starting to make sense 🙂 Weather on my drive home was lovely until I got to Sheffield ... so the top went up as it started to rain 😞 @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO You should have seen the look of horror from the driver coming towards us after you overtook that car a little after Quackers ... white as a sheet springs to mind 👻

  28. It took 3 weeks all in from me posting the old ones to receiving the new ones, but that included Christmas and New Year. I paid £45 including postage for 1 passenger and 2 driver mats. (I thought I'd get a spare drivers one presuming it will wear it quicker. Thinking now this was a waste, they are well made and the last set of mats were on the car since new 16 years ago ...) They do a range of different carpets, finishes, colours and trims so it could cost more or less depending on what you want. I didn't want deep pile luxury mats as they would be a bit daft in my car, but also didn't want the cheapest mats.

  29. Testing the fit of the new wheels before getting the tyres mounted. ET-8 rear, And ET0 on the front. Nipped out at lunchtime to get the Uniroyal RainSport 5’s fitted. Just need to clean them, and treat them with some Gtechniq Wheel Armour and they can go on the car.

  34. Here’s mine with new ProRace 15” x 7J rims and R888Rs, bought from Westfield. Got them delivered and on before Christmas. Had been on 16” x 7J from when built. Westfield supplied fitted 205 tyres all round (as per my request), but once I had them I decided to go down to 195 at the front as the 205 width is something like 214 in reality! The rears really fill the arches well. Now I’ve a nice set of 205s for when I rip through the rears and a friendly local tyre dealer who is more than happy to fit them! A trip to @Siltech Racingplanned for Spring upgrades to: +35 wide track, micro-adjustable rear suspension, shocks & springs and ARBs to replace all the original kit (from 2003/4 build). Dennis has been great throughout the whole process and I’m looking forward to meeting him and Andy when I go to get the work done! Cheers P
