This was the day we brought her home, we had a LOT of wrenching to do. Took off the spoiler (cuz bleh), the headrest, and a lot of the stuff that had been added on. We put the original screen back on, moved some mirrors. Don't have a pic of the after since it was such a busy day! Currently the car is headed over to Fort Collins, CO for an engine rebuild so we can take it out this summer. Will post more pics as the time moves along!4 points

I might be there in the 911 with my new "I'm having a mid life crisis" number plate that the kids got me for Christmas 🤪4 points

Palms crossed with silver and suddenly I have photo options!! 🙂 Pictures attached - car on transporter, good old Shipley!! Westfield Key ring my wife made me last night using her Cricut, very limited edition, the language coming out of the craft room was "interesting"! Evidently all the little bits make it a complete pain of a job... Gratuitous pic of twin carbs which gets flipped when I upload it!4 points

Hi Have been lurking for a while, but my Westfield arrived today. It's a 1998 SEIW that's had one owner from original build to now. I'm based near Alton in Hampshire, hope to see a few of you around when the weather brightens up. I'll be bunging a load of fairly basic questions up in tech talk sometime over the next few days... have learnt a lot already from trawling these threads!!3 points

I am an Eon Next customer. My fuel bills are increasing as they are for everybody else. Eon’s response to this is to send me a pair of white socks with a label inviting me to reduce my carbon footprint. I can’t believe I am the only lucky one to receive this gift and dread to think how many other socks they have sent out to their customers. It begs the question as to what the cost is to Eon’s carbon footprint? Does anybody want a pair of white/orange socks?2 points

@Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary - not forgotten; I’ll take you up on that! Cheers. 😀2 points

Don't forget, the Peak District runs, too. You're probably only 15 minutes or so from me, in Sandbach, so if you wanted to head over to any of them in convoy, it's easily done.2 points

@Benrobson2999 - I ordered a couple back in September and the seller was "electric-bitz", so might be worth dropping them a note as they are still on eBay. Not fitted yet, but migrating to the top of the to-do list....1 point

I thought I would talk to one of our academics about building my Westy. He had just been telling us about his new RS3 Audi, so I thought he would be interested. He just looked at me like I'd crawled out from under a rock and said 'why would anyone want to do that?' Pretty odd point of view coming from an Engineering Department...1 point

@dhutch - that’s really helpful background. Since I got my Westy last June I’ve missed out so far on the Cheshire and North Staffs meets for various reasons (you filled my empty chair for the Christmas Curry which was good!) but I continue to plan to attend in 2022. Where does the Wirral and North Wales Section meet? I might be able to make some of those (already planning to hook up with Derbyshire members). Cheers, DAVID. 😀👍1 point

I've had the eBay advert saved for ten years or so, but unfortunately seems to have finally disappeared.1 point

Well that was interesting, managed to lock myself out of my own account, but using Chrome now, I now see just an add flies files button, which when pressed gives me options to either take a photo, access the photo library or browse. Try Firefox on your laptop , but it should work from Chrome all the same.0 points
