cheers, i have since posting this morning learnt that, so i assume that the sites requesting what size you want just pre-select the size for me before dispatch. also some good news in the last hour, my cousin tells me the phone was purchased sim free, as she went with her mum to buy it i think, so that's one less thing to worry about. i suspect you may be right, as per usual, richard turns up to the party late once again. been meaning to get one for months now, but there had to be a really good reason why first.2 points

Oh dear...slippery slope now I'm afraid! Once you get the taste for 'apps' and all the other uses you'll never go back (probably). I use my phone as a SatNav in the Westy & Midlana and on occasion in the car, as the one MB provide is a total blithering idiot at times. (If I'm lucky that is, as on occasion it is positively evil. I'm pretty sure I'm on an MB ****list after setting the Ombudsman on them and the nav is their retribution.)2 points

ah, i knew it was all sounding a bit easy - i have no clue if the phone arriving is that type, maybe i should have just gone into town and gone to a shop instead, see what arrives anyway. as long as i have something i can talk on by next tuesday then all is good.2 points

It's a nano SIM Richard. But most if not all these days come as a full size SIM from which you can push out a micro or a nano2 points

If your stuck & can’t borrow Kev’s for some reason your welcome to borrow mine. May not be as convenient as Kev’s as I’m on the Worcestershire/Shropshire boarder 4 miles out of Bewdley.2 points

In my short time of Westfield ownership, I’ve already acquired a few items bought in error. Rather than re-list them on a popular online auction site, I thought it might be a bit more fun to do something different. What I propose is this: 1. I’ll kick things off by offering the first item (see below). 2. If you want it, reply to the thread to claim it (first person to reply wins). 3. Next, you would reply to the thread offering something of similar value. You would also private message me your postage details so the item can be sent to you. 4. Hopefully someone will reply to your post to claim the item you are offering, PM you their details and they would offer something else by replying to the thread… 5. And on it goes. 🙂 Make sense? Obviously things will break down if someone offers something that nobody else wants, so maybe we’ll need to invent some kind of forfeit for that situation. Suggestions welcome. 😀 Right, so on offer, one CNSpeed Voltmeter. 52mm mounting (I ultimately went with something smaller, so this is new in it’s original box). It looks like this: Any takers?1 point

I suspect the individual starting the petition either hasn't read the bill or has just decided that it's all bad, irrespective of what it actually says. It does say things like: Frome here: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards/future-of-transport-regulatory-review-modernising-vehicle-standards?fbclid=IwAR0E7baymfJuJ-8XCcIcuFZsjLPByC0MmD_SIIa3WqrP9hH5qKfkWonFsyM#tackling-tampering So no ad-blue defeat, no tampering with airbags or seat belts or pedestrian safety features, things like that. MAYBE, not adding "tuning chips" BUT if the vehicle emissions stay within the requirements that'll be tricky. Of course, I'm not a lawyer and I may well have it completely wrong, but I have at least taken the time to have a read through some of it. A thread got started on this a little while ago. Might be time to resurrect it to see if more people join in.1 point

My 2 pennies worth on this.... I'm currently building an unbuilt kit that was originally purchased from Westfield in 2002. I'm not sure when this was originally purchased (possibly 2010 from the sellers other posts here?) so that would be my number 1 question. Parts that have been in storage for a while might be corroded, degraded, brittle with age, bodywork might have storage marks, crazing, scratches, tyres need replacing etc. Are there any parts missing? Certainly from the photos, you can't see everything. Does the engine have throttle bodies? What gearbox? Are there any parts included that you don't want that could be sold on to recoup some money, e.g. ARBs? These are the questions that spring to mind for me. If all of the above checks out, it could be a real bargain. Good luck!1 point

Assuming the phone is "unlocked" and you can use any network providers SIM card or that the phone previously had a giff gaff sim. If not, you have options; a) get the phone unlocked by a local tech/phone shop; 2) get a SIM from the provider that the phone is locked to.1 point

All brand new but look and feel like the old 1990's phone you want. "SIM Free" means you can use any SIM card from any provider with this phone. I ALWAYS make sure the phones I use are SIM Free.1 point

(I laugh in admiration for you, not at you! Would have been so nice to have missed the Apple publicity behemoth, but not possible in my line)1 point

I don’t think so. It is effectively a second hand kit so you’d expect to see a substantial reduction in the price you pay for a “new” kit form the factory - and the choices made may not match your own preferred options. Also, there will be a limited market for a “used“ kit, but if you are in that market then grab a bargain. (In my opinion anyway 😁)1 point

Measures at 82.3mm OD Should be close enough, but the hub is the key of course. Assuming the design was right, that should be to spec.1 point

But are you on page 44 Mr Clarke?😁 On a serious note (only for a minute) I have made this event OUTSIDE only due to COVID.1 point

Thanks Chris. It appears getting the right help is key. I love and cherish the NHS but the are too slow with things like this. Wait up to 26 weeks to see physio, then after 10 sessions see consultant. Another few weeks. Then MRI scan, try cortisone and then get an operation. Physio as soon as they can. Mine is private due to work and took 4 weeks after deciding to get it done. Now recovery with twice weekly Physio and follow ups. As for pictures not much to see yet as the dressings do not come off until 21st when I can see more. The bruising is the worst bit but I can live with that. Hopefully I will be fixed in time for the lockdowns to end1 point
