  1. We met at Quackers where it was only just not raining. @aeg and @Andy Westwood had better watch out, ABC had cake for breakfast and then proceeded to eat Christmas pudding with brandy sauce after lunch, so get in training boys for the summer. ABC with snickers cake, it's nice and chocolatey and then you get a nutty kick in the throat later, oh a taste sensation. We started our engines ready for the off, Glynn was not impressed at the sound of his new silencer but ABC's V8 engine does make us all feel a bit puny. We went through Bakewell for a pose (full of shoppers but quiet on the road, not like in the summer), up over the tops along the sweeping Bentley Brook road, through Dove Dale to land us at Wetton. It was wet in the air and the sun came out too, bizarre weather but it is December, it made the hills look quite lovely not that Glen was removing his glove this time to take any photo's, too cold for that malarky. The driving was fun being challenging at times having to avoid dead pheasants and oversized puddles on the cold, wet, bendy tarmac. Old School Tea Rooms, Wetton There was no doubt what we were having for lunch, everybody had the same, a Christmas cob followed by Christmas pudding and brandy sauce, what a nice surprise. Turkey, bacon, sausage and stuffing cobs with a side of cranberry, oooooo. But what's this? it comes with salad, you could have had some training @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO. ABC was very Billy Glynn, the one in a T-Shirt sat next to Billy, also in a T-Shirt, was disappointed again because he had his new electric gilet on but was too warm to use it. Really? it was freezing outside, I had everything on as usual. Christmas pudding with brandy sauce kept us all warm for the way home Home for the Westfield's was down the Via Gellia, through Matlock Bath and Matlock before splitting off. The Billy's went North in the warm Porsche with it's heated seats and roof. If the weather allows us to we will be doing the SANTA RUN next Sunday. Meeting at Ashbourne, 10am, dressed up really daft and ready to wave at the shoppers, if you are SORN don't be frightened to come just to wave us off.

  5. Yes it's a funny old world isn't it. People often ask me about it, even after all this time. I've had a chance to have a good look around it now and it's fair to say that it's just been neglected rather than abused. It's been stored outside at some stage so there's some evidence of water damage but as long as I can get a new homolgation sticker for the cage and repair the cracked bonnet it should just need some elbow grease rather than £s. I haven't tried to start it yet so that could be a game changer but initial indications are good. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone.
