  1. New carpet in and almost finished. Rather like the change of colour. Original colour wasn’t available anyway.. it had to change, it was very tired looking.

  2. Meet at Tagg Lane Dairy, Bakewell, DE45 1JP, 10am. We have been today to find the toilets are back open and you can even sit inside. On the menu is cake, ice cream, cake and ice cream, panninis, toasted tea cakes, did I mention cake and ice cream? oh, cake and ice cream are on the menu. Afterwards we can go for a run on a carefully chosen route and find some normal food for lunch. Ladies and gentlemen, I give to you breakfast Peak District style. Ice cream made on the premises by Jack. He is looking forward to receiving the robots this week that will milk the Jersey cows. Weather forecast currently is good but I will update the post nearer the weekend to finalise the details. UPDATE. YES THIS IS ON. WEATHER IS STILL FORECAST GOOD. Mine is the Bakewell cake with Raspberry Ripple ice cream, what will you have?

  3. The time has come to sell my high spec road-legal, track focused, 2 Litre Duratec powered Westfield. I have owned the car for the last 4 years. Although predominantly a track car it is fully road-legal and I regularly attend the local WSCC meets. The car originally started off life with a Zetec engine. However in 2015 the previous owner took the car to Northampton Motorsport where a fully rebuilt Duratec engine was supplied and installed. Northampton motorsport also refreshed the car with a new fuel system, new cooling system, rewire with new dashboard, and a full suspension setup. They also ran in the new engine, followed by a rolling road tune where it produced 254bhp and 187lb-ft (254Nm) of torque. A large number of receipts are available for this work totalling over £13500. The car has covered just over 3000 trouble free miles with the new engine. Weighing just 545kg and running 254bhp the car is extremely quick on track. Having been setup by Troy at NMS the car is a joy to drive.. The handling is very predictable which inspires great confidence. Having owned a number of track cars this is by far the quickest and most enjoyable car I have driven on track. There is nothing quite like it. I have regularly serviced the car using only Millers Nanodrive NT+ oil every few hundred miles. The car comes with 12 months MOT unit November 2022 - No advisories on last MOT. Current engine mileage is 3050 with approximately 8600 miles on the chassis. There have been 4 previous owners. I’ve listed the specs below. As you can see no expense has been spared. Included with the car is a huge folder of receipts and history. 4. Take it from someone who has had 3 Westfields and is a taller than UK average, you only really need to start off with a top mounted pedal box, and if your hips are wide, maybe a widebody. None of mine had lowered floors, but all had top mounted pedal boxes. Current SEiGHT has JK seats to increase seating space to maximum, a detachable steering wheel to bring the wheel a little more forward to the driver, and a taller windscreen so you can look through it, rather than at the top of it. Of course, it's nicer to start off that way, but you may wait for a long time till that happens, when you could have done the easy mods yourself on the car that's available now

  9. Love that. I actually saw the original line up on the 'Naughty Rhythms' tour. 'Blistering' is the word

  11. To get all the options above in one car, I’m pretty sure it would need to be customised by a previous owner, to get that combination. From memory, standard lowered floors only arrived after the factory stopped making Type 9 tunnel cars and top mount pedals, for anything but SEiGHTs. (All the cars manufactured since the mid 2000’s or so onwards that have Type 9 gearboxes, actually use the MT75 tunnel car, however, my understanding, was that on the MT75 chassis, it’s the passenger side that gets narrowed, not the drivers side. However, the good news, is that lowered floors aren’t that hard to make, for anyone with some fabrication/welding ability. So could be retrofitted to an earlier chassis that had the other bits you want.

  17. im 6'4" with size 12 pedal dabbers. the only mods I did to my standard wide car was to space the master cylinders further into the engine bay, bolt the seat to the rear bulkhead, and bring up the support under my knees to draw my legs in I've been racing with that set up successfully for several years now

  18. We all met at Hulme End for breakfast and a warm up. We almost had the car park to ourselves, I love it out of season. Nigel surprised us by coming out of the blue, which was lovely, and Rob (S2000) bought all of his South Derbyshire recruits which interestingly included James in a MEV that was a Focus(rear) and a Mondeo (front) in a former life and Ben in a bike engined MNR. Glynn in his supercharged S2000 Westfield, Martin in his Duratec engined Westfield, Ian in Bagpuss (S2000), AndrewABC (V8) and a SORN Billy in the Porsche. Ready for the off, give us a smile Our route went right up the middle of the Peak District with the sun and shadows bouncing off the hills and the autumn colours adding to our pleasure. We had dry roads, empty roads and lots of fun, the line of cars in my mirror as far as I could see, not bad for a cold November day so well done everyone. Here we are at our destination, Quackers, don't you just love it as they always have plenty of parking and room in the cafe, it will become a regular feature now that the Bull i Thorn has closed until next March. Midday sun is great until you want a photograph. 9 cars plus Billy in the Porsche The inevitable cake frenzy. Ian was forgiven for bringing his hairy legs as he so kindly gives everyone good advice on their cars. The sort of advice you can trust as it is not coming from a company who is selling a product and hopefully he has solved our mysterious disappearing clutch fluid problem, thanks Ian. We all dispersed although ABC and us again failed to pass Adam's Happy Hen's without calling in for one last drink Undercover seating, oh the luxury, we weren't expecting that Thanks for a great day out everyone. It is rememberance Sunday next weekend so I will be choosing my route very carefully and researching where the parades are, plus Chatsworth have their Christmas market going on. We cannot make the Saturday so finger's crossed for a dry Sunday and hope to see you then.

  19. A great turnout today considering it was so cold (I certainly needed the heated coat!). A big thanks to @Julie Hall - Joint Peak District AO for organising a great route through some stunning scenery! Brilliant to see you all, it's been ages since I was on a proper Peaky run out, just what I needed 👍
