  1. Almost missed the big day…thankfully Vickie is on the ball and had a bottle of bubbly chilling…. 30 years since I built the Westy.

  2. Sorry didn’t see you post earlier. Was having my afternoon siesta. I have the standard Westfield harness which means that every time I get in I have to tighten the straps as some fat sod has clearly been in my car and sat in my seat!

  7. Today’s menu - Full English for breakfast, only two eggs so peckish by 11 and needed moist apple cake with cappuccino, light lunch of carrot and coriander soup with crusty bread followed by almond slice in Greek yogurt, mid afternoon no doubt hungry again so probably a double chocolate mini roll and a couple of suggestives, dinner tonight already in AGA so pleased to report it is a Lancashire Hot Pot which will be served with petit pois. Apple strudel and ice cream for afters. All normal stuff really. You can see why I work from home.

  9. No cake for me today 😞 though just had a great mix grill at the Dog and Doublet in Sardon on the way back from indoor karting at Warrington with some of the lads from work. Have good blast around the Peaks and eat my share of the cake if you can manage it of course 😉 See you at the museum on the 24th.

  13. Not a problem. We did the Alps in biblical rain - cars never suffered from any water-related ailments over the 1500 miles or more that we did. And I mean Biblical rain! As you can see - all are aeroscreen and even a MegaBusa in the mix. but did I mention the biblical rain?

  14. Yorkshire Breakfast meeting this Sunday, 17th, at the Motorist, New Lennerton Lane, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6JE. Should be lots of different cars there and the Jaguar Enthusiasts club are there too. I'll be there from around 10 am.

  15. Getting through the jobs slowly. New wiring loom made and loosely assembled then once I was happy with the routing everything was bound in loom tape. the spare tails are for the rain light switch and an oil pressure light if I decide to fit one.

  20. (Only club (paid) members can upload photos directly to the Forum; this is because we own our own server and hard-drive space, so part of the membership fee covers the costs involved.) It's one of the many benefits, including enough discounts from various sponsors and suppliers to more than cover the actual membership cost!

  28. Cracking run out today. We met at the Tudor Rose, and after a brief chat, headed for the Ponderosa for breakfast. We then decided on heading west on the A5, turning off at Capel Curig towards Beddgelert. Headed for Maentrwog, we eventually joined the B4391 east towards Bala, turning off to join the B4501 up to Cerrigydrudion where we'd take to forest road to Ruthin. I like this time of year in the Westie, still warm enough if you wrap up, lovely Autumnul views and the roads are that bit quieter. Thanks everyone for coming.
