Hopefully everyone is ready for tomorrow's track day. Here are a few points to note:- Gates should be open by 9am Bring drinks for yourselves Breakfast and BBQ lunch food provided but if you have dietary needs then you will need to bring your own (BBQ available if needed) Spectators are allowed now (but are not catered for) We have one place unsold so we have no funds left to donate to charity. What does everyone think about having a 'whip round', maybe a couple of pounds from each driver would do it? See everyone tomorrow! Martyn3 points

Awards Dinner 2021 – Open to all WSCC members 27th November at Lea Marston Hotel I hope you are all well and almost back to normal life after the restrictions that Covid has imposed upon our lives. Despite the problems we have manged to have quite a good season and attendance at our events. Many, if not most of us are vaccinated and I would like to move ahead with arranging the Awards Dinner on 27th Nov as there seems to be quite a bit of support for that date. If we postponed the do until Feb or March next year the Covid situation may well be worse. I would like to know if you and partners would attend the dinner at the usual venue ( Lea Marston Hotel). Dinner price will be held at £35 per person (3 courses and wine on the table) and I have negotiated the online B&B price down from £169 to £99 (2 people) and £89 (1 person). To book a room please email sam.coles@leamarstonhotel.co.uk. and give her your phone number and she will call back within 48 hrs and book it for you Clearly we require a reasonable attendance for the event to be viable and I hope that we will have a charity fund raising event again. Please book tickets via the STORE terry.everall@gmail.com2 points

Hi! I though I'd introduce myself here. My name is Phil and I just bought a 1992 Westfield Super Seven on a Bringatrailer auction. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-westfield-zei/ I live on the east coast of Canada and plan to use this for the occasional AutoX and track day, and just for fun drives in the country. This is my first Seven and also my first RHD car. I also own a 72 MGB GT which is my summer daily driver, and a 98 LR Disco V8 which is my winter rig and tow vehicle, so I'm somewhat familiar with British cars. I have a fair bit of AutoX and track experience, having raced my old VW GTI and BMW E30 when I lived in Ontario Canada. There's not as much action here on the right coast, but we do have a decent track that's about a 3 hour drive from me. I'm really looking forward to picking up the car next weekend and driving it the three hours home. I imagine this forum will be very useful as I get familiar with the car. TIA! Cheers! Phil2 points

I’m now the proud owner of 3 Westfield’s, just managed to buy a lovely Seight 5.1 that was 10 mins from where I live! this is in addition to the sport 250 and the Mistral Megabusa. all cars are so different and I like them all for different reasons, the 5.1 is a real handful though😂😂😂1 point

Yes cracking day. So glad I didn’t go home when my car was cutting out, oil pressure sensor failed (causing minor coronary on track) and sump developed a bit of a weep (no idea how 🤣) But @Jackv4 persuaded me to take one last look and we found the live feed to the ECU was snapped at the crimp! So back in track and decided to just send it without an oil warning - and had a great afternoon! Have some videos to go through - including @Andy - a15cro entry for “you’ve been framed” 😁1 point

A friend of my daughter's was temporarily living in Norfolk for some reason unknown to me, and he needed some extra income so he went to the local Job Centre to see what they had. He say an ad for a singer wanted, and he took this card to a desk and asked about the job as he was a vocalist in a band at home. To cut to the chase it turned out that it was not quite what he expected and the title had to be pronounced with a 'soft' 'g' as in "sinj-er" to work at a pig slaughterhouse. Burning the hairs of the skin of dead pigs!0 points
