  1. Sorry for the large number of photo's but it was that kind of day. @Andy Westwood ,a very brave man I knew but I was not prepared for how cool he is. My prank was to drop a piece of wire with spade connectors attached into his footwell and proceed to ask him what might be wrong with his car. He very cooly replied that it would just be a test piece of wire that he had used recently when he installed a USB socket onto his dash. You were supposed to panic and wonder what it had fell off. So that's 2 to you Mr Westwood and I still need my revenge 😛 We met at Quackers and proceeded to eat cake and sausage rolls for breakfast On the big roads today, past Monsal Head and onto the fast bit where the Honda Hooligan from Barnsley had to show the Zetec how it is done. Really he needed a pee, he had mentioned that he was running short of dignity pants today. Through the pretty village of Castleton and up the Winnats Pass The post Winnats hairpin bend with it's ascending exit was ruined by a set of temporary traffic lights but gave us a rare chance to take in the views of the Great Ridge of Mam Tor Next was the scenic descent of Mam Nick see the paraglider on the horizon getting a birds eye view The Barnsley lot can't drive for more than a hour at a time so we had to stop at Bradwell to let them have a little rest. Parked at The Travellers Rest For a quick drink and to say our goodbye's to the Barnsley Mafia Very kindly Glynn took a photo of us too so I could be in it Next stop was Peak Rail and it's steam engine. It has a quaint cafe that is nice and quiet between trains so we had lunch there. Parked at Peak Rail Afterwards Glynn led the convoy South through Matlock Bath for home Andy and Sue headed towards Ca**ington and home Just leaving Andrew and us and it seems we can't quite get home without calling at Adam's Happy Hen's. A very guilty looking Andrew with 2 ice creams, wait until I see Clare Thank you to our Barnsley neighbours for coming over the border John and Jacky Des and Debs Thank you to our Southern neighbours for coming today (and to Andy and Sue not pictured) Ian and Ali Alan and Callan Glynn Thank you to all of you for making today a good laugh and I hope you enjoyed the route as much as we did. A few more random photo's

  4. Today three WSCC members in Westfield’s met in Burnley for breakfast, there was. Pink Jim, plus Julie. Bernie Darwin (Pistonbroke) and myself. it was like an over 70s reunion. After breakfast Jim led us on a scenic route to Settle, where we stopped in the usual car park. There we met a friendly Caterham driver (yes they do exist) he asked where we were going and we told him Ribblehead, he asked if he could join us, we said yes, why not? after all we are the “friendly “ club aren’t we? At Ribblehead I headed south through Ingleton, Slaidburn, and Clitheroe to home in time for the F1. Jim then led the others to Hawes and onward. Breakfast meet up. Settle with Caterham. Ribblehead. Anyone fancy a Pink Jim?

  6. Also took a few of the cars.. food stops were good, particularly enjoyed my pork and stuffing batch(cob) which apparently counts as a starter to tonight’s roast dinner. Was a really good day. Lovely to see everyone and meet some new faces.

  12. New venue for the breakfast meeting from this month. The Swan and Cygnet don't seem to be opening for breakfast at the moment, so we'll be meeting at the Motorist in Sherburn in Elmet. It's a car orientated place and there'll be plenty of other cars there, not just us. https://www.themotorist.com/ The staff are expecting us, and there is lots of room for us to park up together. Meet up at 10:30, see you there. Robin.
