The chassis is back home having been collected from paint earlier today. An absolutely superb quality job from the team at Maldon Shotblasting & Powdercoarting. Aftet much deliberation and not knowing the original colour of the chassis I opted for RAL7024 which is BS381C 671 Middle graphite grey; it’s the same colour used on many of the early Lotus chassis which Frank Costin had a hand in designing so I thought quite appropriate.2 points

Hmm, it's my birthday tomorrow but I am going on a jolly for the day and I have my birthday celebrations on Sunday. I may be allowed out to meet in the morning again but there is a birthday lunch with various family members so I won't be allowed out for the whole day, if I am allowed out at all... I am not complaining by the way as I am buying a new toy tomorrow 😄2 points

Hi, here is my Brian James Clubman trailer for sale. It was purchased new about 6 years ago and has been used occasionally to transport my Westfield to WSCC sprint events. I estimate it has done about 1k-2K miles - not much. Bed size is 3.2m x 1.65m and is in good condition. Location: Leicestershire. Price £1600.1 point

A song that's a 3-min TV ad - late 80's local NZ ad for Europa petrol, featuring Stevie Ray Vaughan (and his kiwi model girlfriend with the long hair) and NZ's godfather of blues Midge Marsden (skip cap). There's so many memories in that video, I've been to every location. The ramshackle house in the wheat field was about 10 miles from my house, the pile of old cars is 'Smash Palace' the largest vintage and classic car dismantles in the southern hemisphere, and I used to work on the A4-K Skyhawk fighter jet when I was in the air force (and was lucky enough to get a 2.5hr mach-loop ride, 250ft 60% of the trip!).1 point

@Alan France thanks for this advise. Just gotten round to getting it done and it works a treat. the slight variation on it is that I have a male\female version of the rubber mount, that then has plastic screws on the number plate side. The idea being if I do clip something it should snap the screws rather than damage the fibreglass body… that’s the theory anyway. But there’s a fair amount of flex in the rubber mount, so fingers crossed should never be an issue.1 point
