  1. Hello! This is my first post, long time lurker! I bought my first Westfield on Monday. An SEIW super sport from MatV on this forum. I've really fallen for the car, I'm using it to commute to work this week! 80miles a day. Looking forward to posting more on the forum. It's a great car can't wait to put my stamp on it. I'm in Maidstone Kent, I looked for an area meet but only saw the joint Essex/North Kent one? Alex

  3. I am on holiday in North Norfolk, so today I met up with former Yorkshire AO Martin Van Zeller who moved here five years ago. Martin has back trouble so the Westfield had to go to be replaced like so many others with an MX5 😀 BUT Martin being Martin the 1.6ltr engine had to go, to be replaced with a 3.0ltr V6 Jaguar engine producing 270 BHP well done Martin and great to see you.

  4. This is what I used, although it does say it’s less suited to tight compound curves, because of the reduced stretch. https://www.easycomposites.co.uk/200g-profinish-coated-22-twill-3k-carbon-fibre-cloth

  5. If it’s the Easy Composites skinning kit, or one similar, with a more basic carbon cloth included, I’d get some better cloth for the tricky shapes, one of the ones pretreated with an adhesive spray for example, as they hold together much more when trying to get them to follow the tricky shapes. The basic cloth in the kit unravels the minute you start handling it, very easily.

  12. Having met Martin at the recent Norfolk area meeting, I can confirm that the V6 MX5 conversion is absolutely amazing with a soundtrack to match! It does look like it was designed by mazda to fit in that engine bay! Thanks for showing me the way home too @Rory's Dad. It was a bit out in the sticks, even for us norfolk folk! 😂

  16. I bought a meter but had lots spare. I used three sections to cope with the curve. I recommend using wrapping paper or similar to map/template your approach.

  22. A song that's a 3-min TV ad - late 80's local NZ ad for Europa petrol, featuring Stevie Ray Vaughan (and his kiwi model girlfriend with the long hair) and NZ's godfather of blues Midge Marsden (skip cap). There's so many memories in that video, I've been to every location. The ramshackle house in the wheat field was about 10 miles from my house, the pile of old cars is 'Smash Palace' the largest vintage and classic car dismantles in the southern hemisphere, and I used to work on the A4-K Skyhawk fighter jet when I was in the air force (and was lucky enough to get a 2.5hr mach-loop ride, 250ft 60% of the trip!).

  25. Hello All, The monthly Black Country meet is due to be held this Sunday, unfortunately I'm going to be away on holiday so can't attend/host, Martyn who quite often attends can't be there either. There is nothing to stop you meeting up but there will be no WSCC official presence, hopefully some of you can still attend for a chin wag. See you next month. Thanks Rhett 7pm, 5th September at the Dudley Arms, Himley. DY3 4LB.
