I enjoyed it at first.. I was chasing it around YouTube to watch it. but didn’t find the last few episodes. I’d grown a bit bored too.. I think the issue is for me with all these programs they have to pitch them for the average viewer which it absolutely what they have to do for it to be commercially viable. I enjoy them but feel I want the more advanced pro- version.2 points

Thanks Steve Will drop Steve T a note as you suggest. Given the age of mine (SVA’d in 2004), it is on an old MBE 956, so SBD were well placed to advise. Worth a call anyway as the worst they can do is point you in the right direction! Good luck with the build and see you out soon I’m sure.1 point

Brake fluid and handbrake are normally the same light. IF it's a brake fluid light, it SHOULD have a test button somewhere on the dash. (That's why the warning is often combined with the handbrake, then pulling the hand brake on acts as a test switch to check the lamp works). Note quite a few Westfield brake fluid reservoir caps have their own test switch built in to the cap, justmpress down on the slightly raised round rubber membrane area and the warning lamp for low fluid should light. A failed oil pressure sender can make the light come on. (Well, certain types of failure, at least!)1 point

Due to a change in circumstances, it's time to move on my beloved Westfield. Purchased through this site in 2017, I've enjoyed every minute of ownership and will miss it terribly. First registered in 2007 on an age related '07' plate, this Westfield was put together beautifully during the build process and has been maintained immaculately ever since. I'd like to say it was built by a retired aerospace engineer, but aren't they all? The previous owner sent it to specialists ATSpeed Racing where it was fitted with a new OMEX 600 ECU and racing loom. Every sensor was also changed, throttle bodies balanced and the car underwent a full Dyno and on road remap and setup producing 148bhp at 7k and 122lbft at 5.5k. Needless to say this Westfield now performs and handles superbly and is fully ‘future proofed’ should the new owner wish to carry out further engine modifications. During my ownership, I changed the front wishbones for wide track, purchased from the factory, along with new springs and Protech dampers all round plus replacing the standard westfield anti-roll bar with a thinner one from PlaySkool motorsport. New front alloy uprights from Westfield were also added, completing the front suspension upgrade. Headlight shells have been replaced, along with swapping the lenses for clear glass rather than the patterned factory ones. These, in conjunction with brighter bulbs mean the headlights are now useable! The standard Ford thermostat cracked, so this was replaced with a Raceline water rail, and all hoses replaced with silicone. The car comes with a file FULL of history which tracks it from the original order through to present day. Crate 1800 Silvertop on Jenvey ITB's Omex 600 ECU Raceline Water Rail 150bhp & 122lbft MT75 gearbox Limited Slip Diff Wide track front end New alloy uprights 15" lightweight alloys with Toyo R1R's Replacement thinner front ARB Heater Full weather gear Perspex side screens Mileage - apprx 25k - the digital display on the speedo has become temperamental. These can be replaced quite easily for £20, I just haven't got round to doing it MOT until March 2022 This is a fantastic car and ready to be enjoyed by it's new owner. Will update with slightly more recent pictures ASAP Car is located in South Lincs, near Peterborough Price: Not really sure how to price this at the moment; have seen similar cars advertised around the £10k mark, so open to sensible offers 07307 939793 mathew.vernon@gmail.com0 points
