  2. Fantastic, what a car, simply stunning. Sorely tempted, but I've got too many as it is

  3. I also remember a certain club member, a very good person as everyone would agree, would send in by post a cheque with a random amount on it entirely unrelated to the annual subscription price, forcing me to calculate the membership period by dividing the renewal cost by 365 days, then dividing the amount on the cheque by that amount and adding something like 1,263 days to their membership period.

  6. Went to the local estuary before, testing car stuff, so out with the ( rubbish) camera. Yeah I know the roof is up, but was raining the last time I took it out and couldn't be faffed for a 20 min test 😄, forgot it was school hols DOH. The photo doesn't do this view any favours at all, but nice over over to Knott End way .

  7. The Wheels were bought new with 2 new Yoko front slicks (these have about 5 laps of Mallory)so are like new, the rears are Michelin which have done 2 track days, still plenty on them. £590 for the set, happy to travel within 40 miles of the midlands to meet / drop off or can arrange a courier at your cost.

  11. One of my bucket list cars, unfortunately Just the wrong time for me! I’d have snapped your hands off, we know what’s gone into it! Good luck mate.

  12. I know the feeling, I take the car to bits quite often just for the hell of it, I get bored rather fast.

  17. Please someone buy this….it’s toying with me as I want it so badly it almost hurts! Having spent a reasonable amount of time speaking to Martin and having video calls I am sure the first to see this will buy it.

  20. Thank you for reminding me of the worst 48 hours of my period as MemSec… 😬 It landed on my desk at 18:42 on a Tuesday evening with an almighty thump, and ACW and I endured a horrific battle to stop the rot and fix it. I’m pretty sure at least 6 of my grey hairs were caused by it.

  22. Absolutely, and to be fair, the world has moved on since then; most are much more used to on-line subscriptions etc, so it may well be something we look at again, specially as the forum software itself has moved on so much in the years after that first glitch.

  23. Hi Folks, as tonight's weather is looking increasingly bad, - the wind and rain are already getting started here; have made a last minute decision, as the numbers for the Golden Pheasant were so low, looked like being just me, to change to Skype! If you can make it for a bit, great, if not, hopefully see you in September! I've sent out the Skype invitation to the usual group, if you need one, please just shout out, on here. So once again, NO meet at the Golden Pheasant tonight, we'll Skype instead.

  24. I's guess it's abroad, if still going. Due to the difficulties and cost of registering anything newer on the continent, 89 and older cars get pounced on whenever they pop up for sale, and shipped to Europe. They rarely get heard from again, I'm afraid.

  25. Thanks for getting back to me @Quinten Uijldert - Webmaster, I think it's fairly safe to assume that the issue was with my email, since no one else has reported the same thing. I had one more since yesterday, but it's stopped doing it now. Enjoy your holiday.

  26. Thanks for organising another great route around the Peaks @Julie Hall - Joint Peak District AO and thanks too, to all who attended. If I had have come in the Westy I would have been thoroughly soaked by the time I got to the Bulli but, as it turned out, it was dry for the actual run. See you all soon.

  29. Target practice? To the memebrs of the CIA who may be reading this, we Brits call this humor (sic) and is not in any way a threat to 45.. Ironically the same number as the caibre of weapon that one might use for such activity...

  30. July 9th, 2021 Spend: £0.00 First MOT in my ownership. Given the all clear for another year July 24th, 2021 Spend: £5.88 Used the 3D printer again to fabricate a phone holder. Already had a .stl for the iPhone 8, and then designed a new clip that just slides between dash and scuttle. Then fitted a USB charger so I can take it for a longer journey without worrying the phone nav runs out 😄 July 29th, 2021 Spend: £30.00 Bought this a while back from another member on the forums, but had to wait till my wife was kind enough to stitch two additional tabs on the edge before I could try it out. You never know when it's needed! Last month: £ 2635.84 This month: £ 35.88 ----------+ Total: £ 2671.72

  31. I'm unable to attend tonight due to no silencer and too much DIY to finish (Garden, Lounge/Dinning room and LED downlights, spreading like a rash through the house). Have a good dry meet!
