  1. Hi all! I just joined the club and am a happy, paid up member of WSCC as of this morning ๐Ÿ˜ My mate and I went halves in a 1988 pre-lit narrow body Westfield 4 weeks ago (a cunning plan to keep our wives happy as we both have too many other cars/toys haha). We both took an afternoon off work yesterday to drive the Westy up to visit the Westfield Factory - lovely trip/great guys ๐Ÿ‘Œ. Been to Shelsley Walsh in it twice in the last two weekends (as a spectator)!

  4. Sometimes we have to just accept defeat... although I do pride myself in occasionally beating @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary to answer a TQ before him (approx 1/1000 ratio) which I class as a rare win for me ๐Ÿ˜†

  5. I have just done some calculations. I don't know what my average post count is per day, but if it's 10 I will be 67 before I catch and overtake @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary, and that's assuming Dave does not post at all in the next 12 years... And to get this free Westfield I will be 87, I'd be surprised if knew what a Westfield was at that age.

  6. There are posts speculating about Plays Kool. (Face Book, Locost Builders etc). Though at least one of the people posting frequently has more axes to grind than the entire Canadian logging industry.

  17. Steel box profile sheets fit and forget , you can get it cheap on eBay sometimes, I have been lucky to have spare from big shed builds over the years and got mine that way , done a few sheds for people now with no issue, ask around and try local adds any colour will do as you can paint it

  18. I'm about to re-roof my shed, i've got a roll of decent quality felt knocking about, the stuff that came with the shed was terrible and actually started to melt during the hot weather a few weeks ago. I have been contemplating lining it with plastic sheeting though, as the cats around here are a bit scratchy and the old felt seemed to let water seep into the boarding underneath.

  26. I guess they do ๐Ÿ˜, you may find like me, ( if you have wet weather gear) with the hood up it gets really too hot , even in winter, such a small space and the heat coming though you can get away with just a tee shirt in minus conditions, I am sure the neighbours think I am crackers when they see me out in January ๐Ÿ˜„

  33. Geez political nonsense, the UK is GB as far as I am concerned. So this is now not acceptable? - madness. But thanks for pointing that out. It's going to make a mess of the bodywork, I had to glue those on... I had not considered the ULEZ thing, I don't think any of my stays over encompass that system, but another thing to check on, thanks.

  35. Just me and my nephew today for the parade lap, but we did it properly and stopped in pole position to spin our wheels and lay a teeny bit of rubber on the track. The Silverstone Classic is a great day out, thereโ€™s loads to see and do, and watching the wheel to wheel racing of such special historic cars is fabulous. As usual the mini racing was epic. We walked around the paddock and garages, listening to the racket of thunderous engines and smelling the half burnt fuel. bl**** marvelous! A good friend of mine is very fortunate to have an e-type racing tomorrow, no 221 in the e-type challenge. Has qualified on 3rd position on the grid so I plan on watching online and cheering it on. His car came first - some superb driving by Ben Mitchell in a very wet race!

  37. After 11 years off the road and at least 3 years of restoration, my 30 year old is back on the road having passed its MOT this morning. Cosmetic bits to finish on the interior, suspension set up etc but it moves! Thanks to all the tips and guidance from this forum and members which has been invaluable.

  38. Reluctant Sale of My Westfield Mega S2000, 2013 Registered, 16,600 Miles I have owned the car for 3 and a bit years, and it has covered 13,500 miles with me! I gave it a full service when I had the car included Gearbox and diff oil changes. In my ownership it has always had what it has needed. The car has seen me through a couple of tours my favorite being the NC500, it is well known in the WSCC peak district and Warwickshire areas, Itโ€™s also seen me through a couple of track days, where it shows itโ€™s true colours. The donor engine had 56000 miles on it but I have no written proof, I was able to track the builder through the very helpful WSCC forum and was able to find a lot of useful information about its history. Spec SEIW wide body FW rear bodywork V8 bonnet Carbon exhaust with De-cat link pipe (Original cat pipe included) Spax Double adjustable Dampers, ride height adjustable Playskol anti roll bars front and rear full โ€œPlayskolโ€ roll Cage Odyssey lightweight battery Digital dash Lowered Floors Sports turbo seats (with red piping) Sparco 3โ€ belts 7j Pro Race wheels Front (toyo Proxes R888R 195/50/15 new June 2020) 8J Pro race wheels rear (Toyo Proxes R888R 205/50/15 new July 2021) Hi-Spec four pot Callipers on front with vented discs (newly fitted Mintex 1144 Pads) Hispec upgraded rear callipers. 3.92 LSD (does have a small leak from the nose) Things Iโ€™ve upgraded in my ownership Clutch master cylinder for a 0.625, this has made the car even more of a pleasure to drive. Keyless ignition with immobilizer Rolling road tuned by BHPerformance September 2020, 230HP with print out Corner-weighted and fully poly-bushed suspension May 2021, Total weight with half tank fuel 656Kg New front wheel bearings Radtec 60mm extreme radiator re-cored by radtech June 2021 Hispec Front hubs will be replaced August 2021 (If they ever arrive) Removeable luggage rack thatโ€™s proven vital to and from trackdays and camping trips. Lots of receipts from work I've done and work previously, any inspection welcome, any other questions please ask as I have bound to have missed something. As mentioned, this is a reluctant sale, I have an opportunity and need the space/money, if it was meant to be then it'll go, if not I will continue to enjoy it as I have for the next 3 and a bit years! So serious interest only, no silly offers or timewaster please. Contact via PM or my phone; 07545899215 Mileage will increase as I will still be using the car. ยฃ22,500
