A long way from Croydon I’m afraid. Mid Lincolnshire having escaped from the big smoke in 2003. Will be at the Kit Car Show in August (on the Saturday) and you are welcome to catch up there and take a look. Might be too longer wait thou…. As far as screens and roll bars are concerned - I’m not an expert and don’t want to dispute the thoughts of Smokey Mow so enclose a photo of mine side on and SBFS supplied the hood ‘off the shelf’1 point

Let me cool off and I will share the route I did today. I couldn’t for the life of me tell you where to eat as it’s been butty boxes for as long as I have been on the road but there are some lovely towns and villages along the routes1 point

Well being as we’re not leaving the country there’s a few more cars to contend with on the roads! The M5 was busy southbound this afternoon and crawling northbound ( from Bridgewater onwards) but on the A361 my progress changed !! this guy slowed me down and then when we came to overtaking lanes and he did this to me he wasn’t hanging about though 😜 for some reason other drivers kept out of his way 👍 take care on the roads guys and gals there’s lots of extra cars out there. Cheers Andy & Becky1 point

Oh frabjous day……. Just collected my PS5 from Currys. It did fit the cabinet, thankfully. Letting it copy games etc from the PS4 now and enjoying just chilling in the garden. I think it wise to make the most of our brief summer1 point

Hi Andrew! Nice looking V8! Where abouts are you based out of interest? Would be good to meet another one in the flesh! Good recommendation, I was thinking the exact same thing! Not too sure what a storm cover is so will need to Google that one.1 point

The other key metric is excess deaths. Which even with cases increasing are still below the average. Appreciate theres always a lag though. Quite stark to see we are seeing similar case levels as early 2021 but with only around 5 to 8 percent of the death levels. Even the most hardened vaccine sceptic would struggle to argue with that. Well at least until all the nano bots take over and kill us all...........1 point

Part 1 of the return home ! Thought we’d try the coast road via Lynmouth/Porlock/Minehead 🤔 the first bit was nice and the traffic was kind to us , the rest was a saunter followed by a crawl on the M5 for 1 junction. lets hope for a clear run up the M5 tomorrow afternoon as the aircon isn’t working 🤪 and it was a touch warm in the car today and I started to sit in a puddle .1 point

Years ago back in NZ where the speed limit is 60 (even on the motorways), on a dead-quiet main road I sat behind a highway patrol cop on my motorbike for thirty miles and we did 75-80mph the whole way. It was a bit before 7pm, and I guessed it was the end of his shift and his dinner was waiting on the table! Another story - In NZ, every vehicle must display a current MOT sticker in the windscreen with the expiry date facing outwards. My mate gets pulled over on his bike for speeding (80+). It's starting to rain, so the cop says 'come back to my car where it's dry and I'll write you the ticket'. As my mate approaches the cop's windscreen he clocks the just-expired MOT and points it out to the cop. Cop gives him the death-stare, tells him it's his very-lucky day and lets him go! You've got to watch the speeding though - the NZ cop cars have a radar that can read when the cop car is stationary or moving, coming or going. I have felt the wrath on several occasions - and talked my way out of a couple more.1 point

We are planning our first meeting at the Reepham and Whitwell station (https://whitwellstation.com/)on Wednesday the 28th July from 6-8pm. This is a good venue with toilets, food and bar, organised by the Unique car club ((https://www.facebook.com/groups/1938875196384474). I am hoping to make this a regular meeting venue for the last Wednesday in the month during 2021. All welcome.1 point
