  2. I have been making removable posts so I can set up my hammock in the sunshine rather than at the top of the garden under the trees. The posts all lift out the ground and the tensioning cables at either end just unclip. Bed for tonight.

  4. This is always a terribly heart breaking part of pet ownership. The thing to remember is that when animals become pets our human nature tends to over rule our humane nature. If youโ€™re asking the question then you probably already know what the right answer is for your pet.

  6. As Dave said, no need to apologise....I'm almost the opposite and keep all my worries and concerns pent up and very rarely speak about it, not even to my wife. Why?? Not sure, maybe because my family (as in parents) are not ones to openly speak out about issues, so you deal with it and get on. Has this rubbed off on me? I guess so!! So if speaking about it helps then do so! Clearly there are a lot of animal loving folk on this forum and as been discussed already we feel the pain and emotions that are running through you right now.

  17. I dont think you are alone, as i did that and i think we are the generation that was taught not to show your feelings, we were taught by our parents who themselves were taught by their parents, back then we were at war and it was the old stiff upper lip that the british had then thats said you should not show any emotions outside of your house. today thankfully we can and hopefully not be seen as weak somehow. i spent 40 odd years keeping my mouth shut and it did me no good at all.

  22. It is truly bonkers! If it's the same guy, I think he also used to have a Time Attack Impreza with 1200bhp that ran a sub 8 second quarter mile!

  30. No suprise that there's no discounts available. But your doing a sterling job trying. I think track obsession has low numbers on there side which I'm definitely looking for at the moment. I'm hoping to be able to book at least something else this year.

  31. Started watching it at the begining of last week and just couldn't stop, the whole family felt the same. All laughing at Jeremy being himself and such an idiot at times. Absolutely brilliant, mainly for Kaleb and the others, who are so honest. Famer friends just love it, has shown the crap they have to put up with.

  33. Hi all, In these Covid safe days we should all be cleaning our hands with hand gel after filling up with fuel but beware. We spilt some disinfect hand gel on the passenger seat and wiped it up almost straight away. However, when we got home we have noticed the top coating layer of the pvc seat has been stripped away. The Sports Turbo seats are only 7 months old and now look terrible in my new car. I would have thought Cobra would have chosen more resilient materials and tested them with typical spillages. I am in manufacturing as this is normal practice. I will call Westfield on Monday and hope they have good customer service to sort this out and arrange a replacement panel for the squab. Anyone else had similar issues and if not take great care with hand gels.

  36. i did not expect less than a week after i started this thread , to say i now know when the last day is. normally every morning he has a wagging tail and full of beans for the day ahead, this morning he looked quite peeved, no wagging tail and took far longer than normal to get to his feet, he was let out for his morning ablutions and then i feed him at that point, he eat just as normal but kept raising one foot at a time, presumably to take the weight off it - lessening the pain. climbing the stairs took twice as long as last week as well. before covid, my vets had a drop in facility, sadly this is no longer operational and having just rung them they are full for today and have very limited staff on a sunday which is for emergencies only. so unless there is a marked improvement, monday is the day sadly. as i have said already, i dont want to go down the pain relief route as that is just prolonging the inevitable, he is almost completely deaf, his eyesight is failing as he often can not see the treat in front of him, despite his nose telling him its there. sorry for posting my ramblings, but living alone i just wanted to document my thoughts. it sort of helps me... thanks all.
