i think this is a great idea. i dont mind taking up the roll(ratified offically of course in the right way) so that there is a club offical contact for TDO's. potential for a couple more club supported days through the year then ontop of the current blyton day. not precious though if someone else fancies to job. anyway Gazebo wise i think the current club one isnt a pop up or am i thinking of the big one we use at blyton normally. ideally 6x3 size would be suitable i supose could still be put back into the stores at Dels as i pass by most weeks at least once to the office so can get it to and from people. maybe worth a look at the quartermasters inventry first to see if there is something usable.4 points

I couldn’t believe how stable it was being so small - excellent bit of kit. I used to fly RC helicopters in the 80’s when they were pretty basic and although way bigger they were a right swine to control! I recall my brother asking for a go and I said £50. He asked why and I said that’s the cost of a new boom and blades when you crash it. Naaah he says, I’ll not crash. 30 seconds later he handed me the £50.2 points

Good Morning All, I am a new owner of a Westfield Kit Car and I need some advise if possible regarding parts and where to look.. Firstly I am looking for someone in Cheshire to look over the car and give it a check over. I would also like to purchase a spare wheel and a boot cover, and half hood. Possible re spray of the bonnet as it has cracks in the gel which I would like repairing. Any guidance gladly received. Regards, Rick2 points

And while Gary recreated a Top of the Pops set from the 80's, you briefly see me frantically lifting my bonnet with extinguisher in hand!2 points

That's excellent camera work and editing and wouldn't look out of place on Top Gear. I did think the smoke signal was the sign the BBQ Lunch was ready! Clearly I was wrong! What a great way for those who attended to remember the day.2 points

I'm happy to carry this to/discuss this with the committee, if perhaps you want to start a sepperate thread in the track day section to discuss it and narrow it down to something I can pitch for you to the rest of the committee?2 points

Yes, all my bags were specially made. For the boot bag I gave the required outside dimensions and they made it spot on to fit. I added a thin hardboard base to the bag just to give it structure when it's not in situ. Drop them a note on the contact page, I'm sure they can do a bag with a step in it, but you may wish to draw them a diagram so they are clear. My boot bag took two attempts, I wasn't that clear on my initial instructions and the opening was made on the side not the top. But I wanted to be able to open it whilst it's on the car. They helpfully redid it.2 points

After missing a year, the Run to the Sun is back. It'll be a bit different this time. 2019 saw us going to the Ship Inn at Sewerby, but as they had a wedding on, they didn't really seem to want extra meals to cook. So this year it's fish and chips at Hornsea! We'll meet at Rothwell Sports Centre at 4 pm, join the A63 at Garforth, on to Selby, then the A163 to Holme on Spalding Moor, A614, A1079 to Market Weigton then Beverley, A1035 to Leven, And finally the B1244 into Hornsea and a sea front chippy. How does that sound?1 point

Hi there! I'm Paul and I live in Newport South Wales. I'm in the process of buying a largely unstarted kit SE, dating approx 1988, so if correct, would be just after the Pre-Lit? I hope to pick up the chassis and bodywork this week, so I'll know more about it then! 😊 Regards, Manic1 point

I so wish I’d video’d that instead of helping you to frantically remove the bonnet 🤣1 point

Erm…… well I can’t argue with that! I can also thoroughly recommend @BLiNK Motorsportthey did my GEO and I’m sure they would give it a good once over for you. You may want to book sooner rather than later as they are always pretty busy but know westfields well.1 point

The ongoing GoPro saga continues! My footage has recorded up side down! However I managed to drop the speed on last night. Need to work on editing it and flipping the right way round now.1 point

It was around £30 plus postage. I gave them the measurements of the door and they made the bag to fit. This was quoted for without the divider, which they added later. The divider is simply padded material so the two doors are kept separate. It's a good fit, and absolutely fine for my needs. Ideally a touch smaller may be better and the zip opens at the top and part way down each side so you drop the doors on. May be better to fully open at the sides and then you could lay the doors in and zip it up.1 point

Welcome Paul. Great to see another local member and it sounds like you'll be in a similar situation to me soon, wondering what the hell you've let yourself in for! 😀 But from what little I've learnt so far, your definitely in the right place. There are so many members here who've been there and got the t-shirt and are more than willing to help newbies like us with the daft questions. 👍1 point

Carbon NV screen and new lifeline mirrors fitted. Required a lot of hole filling from previous screens. Scuttle needs a bit more sanding and polishing but nothing critical. Also fitted a carbon foam cored boot panel as the old one would warp in the sun. I've still to fit the center mirror but may not bother at all as it requires cutting the screen.1 point
