I bought my Westfield quite cheaply in April 2018. Three years and two months later, I have just purchased a set of Goodridge Speed Bleed thingies to help bleed the notoriously difficult Sierra calipers when I fit the new rear brake lines. Nothing momentous in that, but it just so happens that the £50-odd that just I spent means that I've now spent more ON the car than I spent buying it in the first place. bl**** addictive, this Westfield tinkering lark....4 points

Hi there! I'm Paul and I live in Newport South Wales. I'm in the process of buying a largely unstarted kit SE, dating approx 1988, so if correct, would be just after the Pre-Lit? I hope to pick up the chassis and bodywork this week, so I'll know more about it then! 😊 Regards, Manic3 points

Hi all Apart from being a customer I have no connection with Midwater Luggage but wanted to share some ideas of made to measure bags they have produced for me. Quality is good, the bags are not posh, but practical and well made, price is great for a made to measure service. https://www.midwater.co.uk/ I originally bought a bag to fit snugly in the boot. It is padded to give a little protection and fits great. Means you can pack the bag and know its all going to fit in the car! I was then looking at how best to store my doors, being limited for space hanging seemed the best option so I had another bag made, again padded for protection, The bag holds the doors side by side, plus there is a divider between them. Probably not the best design for transporting the doors, but it works well for storing them at home. Midwater specialise in making bags for fishing so the doors can be put away wet and the bag should wick the water away (not tried this yet). Whilst they were making the bag for the doors, I also got them to make a couple of bulkhead bags, to place behind the seats. Being made to measure they are the right size for where I have the seats. These ones aren't padded as I didn't think it was necessary. I'm not sure when i'll use these but if I ever take the car on holiday they would be great. The bags are similar to this one on ebay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180701876004 - but made to my measurements and for less than 1/6th of the price! The company has struggled over the last year, much of its business was travel bags, which collapsed with covid. But they are now getting back on track. Hence, whilst being honest their turnaround build time was a little slow, I was happy to support a home grown business. Rob2 points

Carbon NV screen and new lifeline mirrors fitted. Required a lot of hole filling from previous screens. Scuttle needs a bit more sanding and polishing but nothing critical. Also fitted a carbon foam cored boot panel as the old one would warp in the sun. I've still to fit the center mirror but may not bother at all as it requires cutting the screen.2 points

In case it helps with the sale, I just bought a set of collars and seats to ‘convert’ a pair of Protech 400 series 1.9” to 2.25”. Obvious I suppose, but the shock bodies are the same, just different springs and seats…. Cost me £33.60 for 2 sets. eta. I already have a set of Procomp tweaked Protechs on the car and put Protechs on my latest project too.1 point

God yes, that damn gazebo. one of those instinctive, yet stupid reactions that isn’t entirely automatic, but you just do hoping for the best, and not having learnt, would do exactly the same thing again!1 point

I’m always very glad and very, very grateful indeed to @Kit Car Electronics and to everyone who worked hard and helped and contributed and encouraged me. It was quite a journey! I remember poor @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary getting his hand banjaxed by a gazebo pole on the Sunday, successfully deflecting it from hitting the car when a huge gust of wind came up, but soldiering on through the obvious pain. 😬 The Wench has more than just a collection of parts - it’s got a bit of lots of club members in her, which I never forget. 😊1 point

I bet your glad @Kit Car Electronics convinced you to keep her? Love her 'old skool' looks and now 'new skool' performance, there can be no better advertisement for the club.1 point
