  2. It just occurred to me - 20 years ago this weekend, I picked up The Wench from Terry Nightingale (serious blast from the past) and had the obligatory rain-soaked, grinning like a loon journey home. Where did the years go? 2001: 2021: Still crazy after all these years... ❤️😎

  4. I’m always very glad and very, very grateful indeed to @Kit Car Electronics and to everyone who worked hard and helped and contributed and encouraged me. It was quite a journey! I remember poor @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary getting his hand banjaxed by a gazebo pole on the Sunday, successfully deflecting it from hitting the car when a huge gust of wind came up, but soldiering on through the obvious pain. 😬 The Wench has more than just a collection of parts - it’s got a bit of lots of club members in her, which I never forget. 😊

  5. I bought my Westfield quite cheaply in April 2018. Three years and two months later, I have just purchased a set of Goodridge Speed Bleed thingies to help bleed the notoriously difficult Sierra calipers when I fit the new rear brake lines. Nothing momentous in that, but it just so happens that the £50-odd that just I spent means that I've now spent more ON the car than I spent buying it in the first place. bl**** addictive, this Westfield tinkering lark....

  6. That is what i will do then initially. My brother in law is a professional photographer so jazzy photos shouldn't be an issue. Watch this space for a war and peace advert incoming!

  7. God yes, that damn gazebo. one of those instinctive, yet stupid reactions that isn’t entirely automatic, but you just do hoping for the best, and not having learnt, would do exactly the same thing again!

  8. Aye, that Stoneleigh weekend will be one of my most treasured ever. It was an honour to assist.

  9. What are everybody's plans for tomorrow's Breakfast Club? Adge, Colin (providing todays fix works) and I are meeting in the lay-by on the A303 before the the East bound A303 turn to Haynes and will probably go for a Blat after.

  10. I bet your glad @Kit Car Electronics convinced you to keep her? Love her 'old skool' looks and now 'new skool' performance, there can be no better advertisement for the club.

  12. I too also hate the thing, so much so I hardly bother using it

  13. If you wanna do it properly you need a vbox. And a remortgage I am yet to trial but I have purchased an aim solo 2. Which your supposed to be able to extract the overlay for the video.

  14. No good for me thanks anyway

  15. Me too. Shows a bit of effort. Also there's nothing worse than having to ask a dozen questions that should be in the advert in the first place.

  16. Oh the photos wont be super edited or anything. The intention is to get him to do some artistic ones backed up by the thorough detailed ones taken by myself. Will check out the for sale section for some inspiration. When buying a car i always go for the long winded adverts with plenty of photos so i will aim to do the same.

  17. Thankyou for the advice. Value really i have no idea, it has a full cage but is also carpeted and comes with both windscreen and aero plus wet weather gear. Fully forged 2.0 blacktop running 260bhp, engine has only done circa 1500 miles. I think its one of those cars where i may need to hold out for that one person who is specifically after this sort of car. I think forced induction puts a few people off in terms of reliability and how it drives, however i can confirm this one has been far more reliable than my previous throttle bodied silvertop zetec car! 😃 I am also not ashamed to admit it does well over 30mpg driven steadily ha ha ha!!

  18. A bit far but if from the o.p. but if anyone gets stuck I'm based in the Forest of Dean and am still testing. I've got 2 bays running constantly . My other tester is good too but he can't fit in a Westy !

  20. To counter this, If I were to build another (and I'd love to) I'd go down this route but when I built mine, I'm glad I went for the full kit. I'm not an engineer but I've an analytical mind and can turn my hand to most things, given some base instructions. I’ve occasionally thought back and considered that question, if I’d not bought the kit I could have done this, used that etc, each time I end up with the same conclusion, I would have struggled and more to the point at the time of build I would not have even known to ask my self the question. When you consider that the build guide is not comprehensive (and was even less compressive when I built mine) knowing that what I had would piece together gave me a lot of comfort and confidence and having the kit meant I’d not only got the club support but the factory as well.
