Gary at least you were there having a go in the wet, some members didn't even turn up because I don't know.... They thought they might melt in the rain or something, so good on you for getting plenty of laps in π4 points

Meet at Quackers Cafe at Thornbridge Hall, Ashford-in-the-water, Nr Bakewell, DE45 1NZ, 10am on Bank Holiday Sunday 30th May. After a brew and a cake we will follow a carefully planned route around the Peak District, avoiding the tourists, and finish off with a spot of lunch. The current weather forecast is dry and 20 degrees so let's hope it stays that way. Who is joining us?1 point

If everyone is happy with the general route, (It does use some roads we used 2 years ago) I will look for somewhere suitable. Comments / suggestions welcome! At Oban, if we have time, we could continue north along the coast and return via Glencoe /Rannoch moor (but will all be A roads). Dave. This is the Lochan just before Kilmelford we camped at last year.1 point

Dear Somerset Westies (and any others). I've got a rough plan for an afternoon drive for Wednesday 3rd June, ending up at the Dorset monthly meet near West Bay. Plan A: We'll meet in Watergore (plenty of parking / turning at my house: Highridge, TA13 5JQ) planning to leave about 1530 ish. We'll then follow the route below (which looks to be about 97 miles / 3 hours driving) add in a coffee @ cake stop and a refuel and we should end up near West Bay in time for the 2000 start (if we're early we can go to Weymouth and back on the coast road). Happy for anyone to join us en route - though timings will be a bit loose. Let me know where you want to meet (somewhere mid way with coffee would be ideal) and I'll try to work out a time we'll be there. It is forecast to be sunny and 19 degrees so no furry hats and ear warmers needed. Jim1 point

Thanks Andrew I tend to video everything so Iβll get a bit more footage up but it was all very wet!1 point

Itβs become clear I was being far too cautious after quickly reviewing my videos.1 point

I'll make my own way there then in that case, that leaves me a little more flexibility.1 point

First vid from me. Early session, I think the second one I did. The track was basically dry, and I went out on wet tyres, which I thought were going OK, until they suddenly weren't! They I presume overheated, and the car went all "floaty" on me.. even on the straights. Red flag after a couple of laps and then back out again. My immediate thought was get back in and fit slicks.. what a mistake that was! π1 point

Sorry but I thought the number plate said something else at first glance.1 point

Good looking car. I am based down in Brixham Devon, not exactly local but but in the South West. Just booked a track day at Castle Coombe for 23- Jul-2021, hoping it will all be back to normal by then.1 point

Hi Andy, Truly stunning car and with a cracking power plant too! Look forward to a better look around when we meet up - as I'm Bristol and the AO too! We often pop over to Castle Coombe for Track Days and have some locals there on Sat 10th April. Enjoy, they are wonderful! Chris1 point
