  2. Oh you lot are in for a treat, breakfast has arrived at QUACKERS cafe. What a difficult choice it will be though, all cakes and sausage rolls are made in their on-site bakery from the finest ingredients. What a shame @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO isn't bringing his own Kinderella, Charlotte, she would have loved this cake. Let's hope we can sit out here as we will be more than a group of 6, wrap up warm. Don't you just love a car park with no kerbs, please behave, donuts are not on the menu😄.

  4. The blasting of the chassis revealed far more hidden horrors than I was expecting and in total the list ran to about 60 defects that needed fixing in one way of another. Most of these were cracks, broken welds and some rust holes so it was surprising that they were all hidden below the fresh paint that the previous owner had applied to the chassis only a few years before. the welder Richard so I’m told is more commonly found fixing up the BTCC and GT grids. He had been an absolute artist with the TIG and brazing rods and put in a late evening yesterday to try and finish it but was eventually beaten by the magnitude of issues which exhausted his supply of brazing rods. One more visit will see it finished so I can then finally get it painted.

  9. Engine and gearbox out for changing to H pattern dogbox with proper ratios in MT 75 case plus light flywheel and pinto clutch. Hope this do the job ... Cant wait to compare to MNR with 100kg lighter CBR 1000 engine+gearbox ... but parts supply from MNR .. ouch.. Kind of ugly side to side to Westfield Edit : zetec 2.0 with mt75 alternator and starter : 160 kg. Honda CBR 1000 65 kg

  15. This stuff is really good and easy to work with. You can cut it with decent scissors and the self adhesive stuff is great. https://www.easycomposites.co.uk/carbon-fibre-veneer-sheet

  16. CF is easy to work with. Best to use permagrit cutting discs and files. I bought my tools and material from Easy composites. Something like this in 1mm will be fine- sheet Use PPE to avoid breathing in dust from cutting/sanding it. This tape will stick it on- VHB Tape I've used it for roll bar feet covers and also for an exhaust plate like you wish to make. If you cut a very fine slot in it with a hacksaw, you can carefully open up the shape to pass it round things to avoid removing them etc.

  19. Just make your own. I’m not sure if I used 1 or 2mm CF but it was easy enough to do.

  20. Tried them on with my work socks (thicker than what I wear on a weekend!) so I would say there a decent 10.5 if they were closer to a 10 I wouldn't be able to get them on - Im usually a 10.5 to 11 depending on make.

  22. It must have cost them money and I'm surprised they offer us a 100% refund. I'd be happy to contribute £10-20 to help offset their loss.
