  2. Engine and gearbox out for changing to H pattern dogbox with proper ratios in MT 75 case plus light flywheel and pinto clutch. Hope this do the job ... Cant wait to compare to MNR with 100kg lighter CBR 1000 engine+gearbox ... but parts supply from MNR .. ouch.. Kind of ugly side to side to Westfield Edit : zetec 2.0 with mt75 alternator and starter : 160 kg. Honda CBR 1000 65 kg

Weather? Bit early, but not looking too terrible. https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcvx23k6x#?date=2021-05-24 Not too warm for the back end of May though?

  5. That's fine @TiggerI know it's a new year and a new score system to previous years so it will take a bit of working through. Great work getting them turned around so quickly. Even if they were wrong lol Hopefully see you out to play this year again, fingers crossed.

  9. on sunday we had 1 prctice and 5 timed runs. i think its a great venue and you in normal circumstances have more runs at blyton than you will anywhere else in the year due to being able to have 3 cars on track at once.

  11. mick's alternator died and was running total loss on sunday so decided not to use vital volts and save them for timed runs 😁

  12. Yep absolutely knee jerk reaction, then the sudden realisation that he owns one of said cars and makes income from it.

  15. I think you also have to factor in peoples natural wariness to making recommendations to strangers on open public forums. Too often on FB groups, asking for someone who "knows" kit-cars etc for an MoT, is taken as short-hand, for "where can I get a dodgy MoT from, please?" by many of the people reading it. When all we really want, is someone who understands the rules, as they relate to kit's - Q plates, etc.

  16. Winter tinkering scope-creep This was originally going to be "fit flared side panels" and it's morphed into a complete body-off respray

  17. Firstly welcome to a new member - @JamesGN Good to meet you and co-driver Chris and hopefully we didn't scare you off and will see you at more trips out soon. After Saturdays deluge a promptly arranged little gathering took place today at the stunning Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa. Shame we could not go in and enjoy seeing the memorabilia from the 617 squadron but this is the effect of COVID restrictions. This hotel was the officers mess for the famous Dambusters. The hotel are serving meals (and cake) under a tent in the restored gardens so a table was booked to ensure we had a dry place to gather. First to arrive was @AndyMM. Big smile on his face and he had clearly enjoyed his drive from Cleethorpes. Something about getting back in a Westy after various lockdowns. Next was the newbees - @JamesGN in his lovely green Toybox car that he had bought in January - good timing! Cake - yes - just a little - but Clare ate it all - we didn't get a look in - honestly. As it was meant to be a quick coffee as @JamesGN was 'out for an hour', we parted and went our separate ways. Short but sweet (the cakes were apparently) Hopefully restrictions will ease soon and the weather might become a little more predictable

  18. Hopefully, if the weather is nice, I’ll be looking to go for a drive this Sunday - planning possibly the Ponderosa Cafe. Anyone else out and about?

  20. She's feeling neglected, but the camper build is taking priority (and all my spare time), and I need to move that to get her out.
