  3. @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretary can we have a club yearly award for the most creative hack job. The above from @a15cro is a contender. Other awards could be: Most expensive mistake of year. Biggest her in doors pay off. Parts scavenger of the year. Most triggered on forum. Best hack job of the year. Funniest story out and about. Shortest shorts on club blat. Most unevidenced bhp figure. Most useless modification.

  9. @a15cro the thing that made me chuckle was the fact I had driven to two hydraulic hose companies today to get some M14 to 8mm barb fittings. Then you rock up with a gouged out spark plug.

  12. I am also booked. Hopefully I will have the camber adjusters tight this time, damn the 'specialists' who set the geometry before my last Keevil outing.

  14. There is a company on the King St ind estate Middlewich that can do it. Not sure of the cost but i've seen lots of Lambo's getting clear wraps done there when I have been out on test drive.

  15. @Rush Motorsport I would love to be like Les Dawson on the old Mother in law stuff. But in reality she's a good un.

  16. So no valid counter-points to the opinions offered, preferring instead to go off on a tangent. Why is that?

  17. Preliminary news on the Indian variant is that whilst it looks to be more transmissible, it is not a vaccine escape mutation. But as ever, early information may change. Fingers crossed. As for why I took the vaccine, that's easy. People with knowledge, experience and empirical data said to me that it's a good thing to do to protect others as well as myself. I am in the habit of agreeing with doctors and medical professionals when they suggest that a particular medication or vaccine is a good idea. This is no different. When I travel to far flung places I look up the travel health advice and if vaccines are indicated, I book myself in at the doctors for a jab becasue as is true for many things, prevention is better than cure. I wear earplugs when driving the Westfield and protective clothing when riding the motorcycle because these things are good and sensible things to do too, not because of fear or peer pressure or some conspiracy that the communists made Westfied exhausts loud on purpose to make a small fraction of the middlea aged population slightly deaf and they've cornered the market in custom made earplugs with trackers in them...

  20. I’m just down the road in Dunfermline I’ll help you out any way I can, if you want to use my chassis for measurements etc. simon at sitech might be able to help, he’s a really nice helpful guy. I’d suggest popping down and speaking to him in person. Ideally you really need a jig to get it repaired spot on.

  23. Thanks for all replies and offers, particularly re SITECH. Heard back from Westfield today, they no longer supply the same spec (live axle) of chassis so a replacement chassis will mean I can’t reuse my current rear end components, LSD diff etc. Plus they won’t sell me a chassis without me returning the old one, regardless that it is an unregistered track car!
