I think it’s quite simple really, if you offered the vaccine and you refuse then you stay in lockdown because you are at a higher risk of passing the vaccine on or contracting Covid yourself.3 points

Ive just acquired a vast Vinyl Album collection, I know theres some rare pieces here, anyone into albums? Id love to have this thread where I post up a couple of covers and se what people know about them, trust me theres some bizarre stuff, Captain Beafheart has almost turned me to drugs 😂 then I listened to some more and realised that's probably why it sounds so psychedelic and (I don't actually have a word!) Im still sitting in my office at 7:20 on a Friday, after cobbling together the Dual turntable, Denon Amp and Tannoy Speakers!1 point

For Sale a 1998 Westfield SEIW with redtop Vauxhall double over head cam engine, 8215 Miles, I’m the 5th owner. **********NOW SOLD*********** Purchased off a forum member August last year and only selling due to a dream car coming available (Non Westfield), been a bit of a project during my ownership to get it how I wanted it, I have lowered the drivers side floor (Very cozy inside now as someone 6ft 2), changed from swept wings to cycle wings, brand new wheels (Tyres new last year), I even had some custom Westfield centre caps made up, battery, smaller headlights, new front grill, painted the nose cone black along with the windscreen surround, new carbon fibre stone guards, new gear lever extender and quick shifter so changes gear like a dream now, new fuel sender unit, new battery, new wing mirrors. Still a few little appearance things to do to finish it off (De-chrome the front suspension for example) so if the other car falls through I will keep it, I have literally done about 200 miles in it. The previous owner in his 3 years ownership fitted bike carbs (Runs great), new rear springs, new starter, new clutch plate and thrust bearing, carbon dash, ETB Digi dash, new sensors (Oil temp and pressure, water and fuel (baffled dip type)), replacement modern shaped doors, as part of the engine out process the cam belt, water pump and idler were changed. Mileage currently showing 713 on the digital dash plus 7502 on the old odometer backed up by the old MOT’s. @147 racing if you're on Facebook have a look for Midlands Kit Car Owners Group. Few members of that are quite active in your area1 point

I'm booked on to this for that day, probably taking the MX-5 though. Loved it in the C1 last year, was quite a quick layout. Well it was for everyone else anyway.1 point

It is a slippery slope, but should a line be drawn?? for instance if a person point blank refuses the vaccine and then goes on to get covid and need hospital care why should we be spending time, money and resources on something that probably could have been avoided? But the same could then be said for smokers who get lung cancer or alcoholics who get liver disease!! lockquote widget1 point

EDIT- I’ve just looked at it again and the words pedal never appear - please accept this as a retraction of all the nonsense I just spouted 😳😀 Lol I was suitably impressed with the video, nuts to go that fast on skinny wheels, I’m guessing the rush is awesome, and Im not dismissing the achievement. 135/140mph was where my nerve went on a motor bike and then my mortality popped into my head 😬 As for E bikes, they’ve still go two wheels, so Electric Bike, I can live with that as the correct description of an electric powered bicycle, pedal bicycle - pedal power. 🙊 Let’s not introduce three wheels into this mix 🤣😂1 point

I think Guy Martin's effort was more impressive, at half the speed, BUT Guy was pedalling, and within about 3 or 4 inches of a steel plate on the back of a racing truck. Still, quite incredible to watch.1 point

Well I’m glad I took the advice from @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Secretaryfirst jab Thursday and apart from a sore arm yesterday morning, no symptoms to report. I don’t know if I’m lucky or the paracetamol before and after did the trick, but I do know I feel better than I did when I had Covid.1 point

Ooohhh yeah, a second, closer look and yes the fins on top of the head do look large for the 250.1 point

A friend of mine has died from Covid. Another friend was seriously ill from covid (I'm talking intensive care ill, and suffering months after coming out of hospital) so from my view point anyone who won't have the jab is worse than...... I'll leave that to the reader. It might not save you from serious illness, but think what it might save your older contacts from.1 point

But that argument is true for most vaccines. People complain of flu like symptoms after a flu jab. But the flu jab is inert, just like the Covid vaccine, and the flu vaccine is only about 40% effective. The "suffering" is the immune system calling the bodies defences to learn what to do, just like we all do when we get a cold. The point is that suffering caused by the effects of a vaccine is not transmissible, other than telling others about it. Change Covid for Smallpox, or Measles or Polio or Hepatitis or Diptheria or Whooping Cough or TB (we all had a BCG, right?) and only a fool would argue that side effects of a vaccine rather than effects of an actual disease are any sort of argument against vaccination. Man up... The BCG was sodding painful, but I still have both my lungs. And as for the tracker, I'm betting most of those people have mobile phones and Facebook accounts and use shops and cash machines. Sadly there's no vaccine for stupidity.1 point
