  4. Hi everyone, after many years of looking, thinking and pondering I have finally pulled the trigger and bought my first Westfield. She’s called Meg, is and sei with a dunnel 2.0 16v zetec and I’m in love! I’m looking forward to when restrictions lift and getting out for some proper drives and meeting lots of like minded folk regards, Andy

  5. Out for a run yesterday morning. I wasn't at the track day but had to stop for the pic. Could see a white westie on track from where I parked.

  7. FIA approval does not automatically mean that it is fire rated, there are different standards for different disciplines of motorsports. Karting clothing is built for abrasion resistance rather than fire resistance as the accident risks are different to those of cars.

  8. Yeah unfortunately karting gear isn’t fire proof in terms of track days - I would wear full kit, helmets, boots, gloves and suits. There is some right plonkers on track days so best to have all the gear and be as safe as you can....

  13. The guy doing the video looked to have some good timing software or app on his phone..anyone know what it is.. Not that I am interested bas you are not allowed to use on a track day.. and definitely not bright to make a video criticizing the TDO whilst showing that you were timing!!

  18. If I haven’t got anywhere safe to leave the steering wheel I tend to put it down my trousers. It’s driving me nuts.

  20. I take me steering wheel off. Not much you can do if an idiot wants to play silly though is there! Having motorbikes things like this used to play on my mind. Nowadays I just don’t worry. Try having a narrowboat and being woken at 7AM in Stratford upon Avon by Chinese family’s sitting on deck taking photos. Or coming back from the pub and finding a near naked couple misusing the tiller...

  23. From Cadwell last Thursday. Looking at the two coils on top of my toolbox, I would say this is a pause in rectification work due to hailstones!
