  1. Well I think I've found my problem.. pretty certain my day was spoilt by an M8 grub screw. ๐Ÿ˜” One DCOE aux venturi grub screw gone awol. I did actually have a squint down the chokes on the day to see if all was well, as I've had this happen before, and they looked OK. Didn't look hard enough obviously! If the auxiliary choke is allowed to turn, it blocks off the main jet to that choke afaik. Pee'd off about the bad day, but happy I've found something. ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Update Got the new V5C today, which now shows the correct Date of First Registration as 21/09/2004, rather than the previous 24/02/1988 The emissions limits remain the same as on the previous V5C - 3.5% CO and 1200ppm HC - the car was well within these limits at the last MOT, so shouldn't be an issue going forward Happy days ๐Ÿ˜Š Just need to get winter / spring tinkering completed - I reckon another half a dozen weekends should sort it - should be back on the road just as lockdown is lifted - can't wait

  13. Or in my case f) do what you want, as long as your Mam keeps the dog for the two nights, and you do realise that youโ€™ll come back to even more carnage at work, and your running out of people to sack! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ ๐Ÿ˜‚ .........true story.

  16. My first years were in a small Midwest town and farmers used to send their boys (as young as eight) into town on tractors to pick up stuff, which was (unbelievably) legal but not very sensible. Every year at least one kid would get killed driving a tractor up or across a slope and it would roll over and flatten them. One teenager brought his dadโ€™s old tractor in to Auto Shop in high school, where he swapped out the diesel engine and gearbox for a huge V8 from an Oldsmobile. Fastest and loudest tractor to 30mph youโ€™d ever see, but that was its top speed - 30. He used to drive it into town on a Saturday night and try to pick up girls - no girl went near him, which is when I figured out that girls were probably smarter than boys.
