A friend of mine has been carrying out some work on my Camaro for the last year and a half! The COVID outbreak as you know put paid to shows so there was no rush, although no I’m missing it and the suns shining. I didn’t want to do it myself because I thought it would take forever, plus it’s his specialist subject so he knows all the little quirks. New higher performance heads, carb etc, coat of Chevy orange and a dress up kit. I had a nice little teaser sent to me tonight, so hopefully it won’t be long now.

I was in a yellow megablade, had a friend driving to whi had never done a track day before so was two up on alot of sessions

Car back on the floor for the first time in a while. All new wiring done/tested and pretty much ready to go just mirrors and a seat to go. So oil line issues on russ's car should be fixed by tonight so all good. 1 week to go who's excited

It's nearly back together bodywork went back on this morning.

Had a drive out to visit my parents and took this for a different perspective.

I just got in touch with GoPro support - seems my camera might have a defective GPS as it shouldn't be losing as much data as it clearly is. So it's getting returned for a replacement - which could take 10-15 days and thus I will be camera-less 😞 (should not have sold the my one - muppet)

Maximum file size for the format used on the Micro SD card 👍 (4Gb IIRC) I have (had, seem to have lost it) a Hero 3 and liked it too. No fancy stuff but a lot of it is temperamental as described above!

I have Hero 9 and something similar to this fitted permanently in the car (front and rear cams, both cameras turn on when you start the car.) Both videos are here The in car cameras are 1080P , but I compressed the file while editing (3 hrs), so lost some quality.) I use Race Render on a PC to get GPS, speed data from the Go pro. As Chris said Gopros strategy to use video processing on a phone tablet is odd, there isn't any current/up to date Gopro PC (Windows) software. I copy files to a PC an use other software to edit/process. The Hero 9 is my first Go pro. The image quality and the processing (stabilisation) it performs while recording is stunning, (A video here of my dog with the go pro on her back. The camera was bouncing all over the place and the go pro stabilised the picture while recording, not in post processing. You can also see in the Cadwell video the Go pro is focusing processing on keeping the background stable and smooth. It makes foreground image appear to Pan around slightly (the image of the car in the foreground moves around slightly) Having spent years avoiding buying one, I'm sold on the go pro. It isn't just a dumb camera, and with 2 batteries I managed a track day, but you can also use power leads (if you buy a Gopro adapter/case)
