  5. Hello! The time has sadly come, with much regret, to sell my C20LET Westfield. I have always been a classic mini lover from when I was 16 years old, but sold my Mini Clubman Estate that I did a front engine Honda engine conversion on, to purchase this Westfield 5 years ago. I have now; however, found myself a potentially dream mini (which I have already purchased) that is a rear engined Honda K20 Z Cars Mini… I do hope that this will be as fun as the Westfield has been, but I can’t afford to keep both unfortunately! I have owned this Westfield SE Wide body since March 2016 and have spent a fair bit of money on it since then, for the most part fixing it up mechanically, as it had been neglected a bit and wasn’t in the best state, but have also made a few improvements too. Mileage is 8948 Has just been MOT'd (March) The spec is as followed: Engine Vauxhall C20LET (Calibra Turbo engine) Fully rebuilt in by Headshop UK in September 2016 SC Typhoon standalone ECU Mapped by EFI Parts – 288 bhp & 280 ft lbs of torque Turbo Smart Boost Controller C20XE Cam Shafts Forged Rods and Pistons VXR Injectors K16/26 hybrid turbo (KRS Turbos) - built September 2018 SBD dry sump kit Setrab Oil Cooler Custom made exhaust by JP Exhausts Drive chain Sierra Cosworth T5 Gearbox - rebuilt by A.P.F Gears August 2018 Sierra Cosworth rear LSD diff Heavy Duty Clutch Cover Cerametallic Paddle Clutch Plate – new in 2019 O.Z. Racing Wheels Body Caged roll cage Carbon flared side panels (original side panels cut out to improve cooling) Fiberglass seats (some cracks in them) Most of the interior is custom made Carbon Fibre Battery mounted in passenger footwell Stack Dash Zeitronix Wideband Lambda sensor and gauge Peddle box from a Formula 1 Tyrell driven by Martin Brundall (sounds cool if nothing else?) Suspension/Steering Titan custom steering rack – rebuilt by them in 2017 Corner weighted and tracked by Clear Motorsport (75KG in drivers seat) Weighs 600KG without a driver Brakes Comp B16 Front Brakes This car was built by a guy on this forum to race in the sprint series back in 2002; I have paperwork going back to 2003 for it, including an old MSA log book from 2006 (some old videos on Youtube). Body work wise, this Westfield is not in showroom condition, as it has been owned to be driven and does have the odd bit of minor damage to the fiberglass. I have also not taken it on track since I have owned it (MASSIVE regret that I am able to say this, but not worth the risk of me taking it now ☹). Bad points are that it does leak oil when sat for periods of time. The oil doesn’t go down at any great speed, so I do believe that it primarily leaks when it is just sat. It leaks from two places, the bottom off the oil tank due to the thread being damaged and there’s a slow drip from the pressure relief valve on the external oil pump (this seems to be a common thing). Due to the undertray on the car, this can make a bit of a mess on the base of the tray and where ever it is sat! The rev counter does not work on the dash (this has always been the case, but never bothered me enough to fix it!). The ECU does read the RPM, so will either be a wiring issue or a faulty dash unit. A bearing in the left side of the brake peddle has some play in it. There are a couple of bits of Fibre Glass on the body work that have smalls cracks and the Fibre Glass seats have a couple of cracks in them both. Hard to price such a car, but looking for £10,000. Serious buyers only please, no test pilots. I am sure that I will have forgotten bits, but any questions, please message on here or WhatsApp/text me on 07742109509. I am located in South Manchester. Cheers, James

  6. Hope you are all enjoying the easing of restrictions as of today? Although there is some freedom to meet outdoors, it is still restricted to 6 people from different households until May 17th at the earliest. As I suspect we could easily break that limit if we met in person, so I will host another Skype meeting this Thursday, hopefully the last one as the May 20th meeting should be a 'proper' meeting! I will send out Skype invites to all those that have attended before and if anyone else wishes to join us then please PM your email or Skype details and I will add you to the event.

  8. I had the same and went to their website and approached it that way. It is correct. Surprisingly they're allowing you to move away from Paypal!

  10. My pet hate is when I start an eBay auction, I ALWAYS say that this is an auction, there is no "buy it now" price as it is not fair to watchers and bidders. And sure enough the first few messages are "is there a buy it now price?" Boils my number 1's...

  11. It was a 'little' enough job on the 128 Panorama (1976 MY). I did it in a couple of hours. The clutch would have been a DiY job too but for the fact I was very busy and my daughter wanted the car for going to school. A local workshop, one I had good experiences with before, was very reluctant to touch an aging Fiat, but when his mechanic saw it he was amazed at its general condition. I bought it from a Ford dealer in Maidenhead who'd taken it for part exchange and was looking to auction it. The previous owner was the wife of a chartered engineer and he'd really very well cherished this little Fiat and I got it with <9k miles for a few hundred quid. It was only because I had bought my ex-company Princess from the firm for the book value only that I sold the Fiat. That was the mistake... bl**** Leyland!

  15. Here we are then , my first westy.😁 Really happy with the spec , st170 engine, willwoods, compomotive wheels, full cage, lsd, pretty much ticked the right boxes for what I was after. The colour I don't think I would spec but it will grow on me, possibly 😆 Seems to go and stop well , cosmetically she won't be winning any awards right now, but Im more into driving than detailing. Hope to be getting it out onto some tracks this year 👍
