My first live GP was 1976 at Brands when James won on track, but Lauda got the win afterwards by the stewards. we drove down from Manchester on Saturday night queued up at 5am at the paddock bend entrance, then drove home after the race getting home about 2am and was at work for 8 am Monday morning, can't do that now 🙄2 points

Thanks for the birthday wishes - another quiet one! I need to take the engine on the XI on an essential journey soon. It has never been right since a valve was replaced after a trackday and I would like a couple of upgrades - proper crank oil seal, uprated oil pump, some additional crankcase / rocker cover venting so I must motivate myself as we will soon be able to visit businesses other than food shops!
