  2. When I was using mine for touring I had a couple of vinyl bags have up to fit the dimensions of the ZK boot box exactly. The car is sold so these are available if anyone wants them for the cost of postage.

  3. Not sure who said it but. Never look for happiness in the place you lost it. It won't be there...

  4. A bump for comedy effect...don't know what prompted it, but I just checked....and would you believe it, a 5.7 petrol V8 is actually ULEZ exempt. How mad is that!!

  6. My Westfield that I (wrongly) sold last year has now changed hands again, and I must say, I can’t stop thinking of my regret at letting it go so easily. I thought it was for the right reasons at the time, Anna tried to talk me out of it, but I pushed ahead and let it go. I have swapped messages with the new owner, as the day he did the swap with Angliawestie, it was running on 2 cylinders! He seems to have plans for it, but seeing another pic of it on the back of his truck just compounds what an idiot I have been. Let this be. Warning to anyone who is thinking that they should get rid, just because it’s sitting not being used, think again 😂

  7. The link below was shameless steal of 3D printed 7, posted elsewhere on the net. Ok you 3D boffins, who is going to make a Westy?.

  8. As per pic the majority of the oil pump is sat in the sump,a long way below the bottom of the block.

  9. They are telling interested people it will be available with modified sump and baffle plate😏 Can't see it myself as the standard K20 oil pump hangs way down in the sump🤷🏾‍♂️

  10. The thought of one of these is really floating my boat at the moment, especially considering the supercharger options off the shelf. Problem is I have a Freelander to sell and staring at possible redundancy

  12. Yes, fantastic news, we will defo be going here. It is £15 entry fee to the exhibition or £49 if you want to drive one of their classic cars. And yes @RobH72 if you have spare pennies left afterwards you can pop next door for a small large gin.

  13. just a quick note to say thanks to Ash @Rednop1 a call for a spare singular kick strip for a small project on the car. didnt want anything for it so chucked some cash into the wscc charity pot. I think it really shows that even during the last year when we can't be in each other garages helping each other out, that the spirt of helping each other is alive an well. This can be even if its in the form of words of encouragment and technical help via the forum. So Thanks Everyone

  14. My bad folks - I thought I'd set the cert to "auto renew" but the radio button was so "ambiguous" it turns out it was set to NOT auto-renew. Now fixed (we're in Webmaster mid-handover, so I'm still helping out behind the scenes!)

  15. You do realise your not allowed travel with corona. 🤪 This packing thing rests a lot on whether you have a passenger. If you don't, you get can loads in. Taking another person with you is all that space gone and you get their stuff too. So my top tip is disown friends and relatives.

  16. A-Plan re-insured my Westfield for less than last year, almost as good as @Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO quote! Lets hope I get to use it some more this year! Fingers x’d Thanks A-Plan Andy

  17. I've just been speaking to A-Plan who have insured my "so close to being on the road it almost hurts" Westie for £120 and some pennies for fully Comp cover! Well chuffed! Thanks Kerry Foster. 👍@A-Plan Insurance THATCHAM.

  18. I don't know the car, but you seem to be pining for your first love. I'd take a punt, major on possible engine damage and offer him as little as possible. I've seen a few miss fuelling episodes over the years, having run large LGV and car fleets for years. TBH I've never seen an engine failure on a petrol filled with derv (the other way round gets expensive 🤦‍♂️). They do misfire and so sounds catastrophic but normally its one or more gunked up spark plug and/or the injectors. Being a 2001 I'm assuming it hasn't got a catalytic converter? Could have been worse, years ago I had a senior manager decide to run his brand new Jag on his home brewed "bio diesel" (or chip fat as it turned out!). Didn't end well for the car or his job! 🤣
