  1. I've got a games room set up with all my old consoles from back in the day; Master System, Mega Drive, SNES, N64, PS1/2/3/4. I also have a decent PC with a Vive VR setup and driving chair which came in useful for getting to know the Nordschleife before I went. The jewel in my gaming geek crown is this, in my workshop;

  3. Thank you all. It was indeed zoomed too much. I think what happened was that i tried to delete a block of text by hitting ctrl/shift then back, but must have hit '+' a couple of times by mistake, or the scroll button perhaps. Anyway, all is solved now thanks. Phew!

  5. Current PC Specs: ASUS ROG X570-F Strix AMD Ryzen 5 3600 42GB DDR4 3600 RAM 3TB SSD 1TB M.2 Nvidia RTX 2070 Super 32” ASUS XG32VQR Curved Monitor its a bit overkill for what I use it for, I very rarely push it hard. But it’s nice being able to max out all the graphics settings in most games and still get 100+ FPS.

  6. I'd been wanting to get back in to PC gaming for a few years now, and Lockdown has been the perfect excuse as I can't work on my car due to it being in a friends garage for upgrades since October. So I set to building a PC of fairly decent spec back in November: •AMD Ryzen 5 3600 •16GB DDR 3200 RAM •2TB SATA Hard Disk •500GB SSD Hard Disk •Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Super Gaming •27" Asus Monitor ( might get another for a nice wide screen view). Seems to play recently released games in high detail pretty competently. I've always liked fps and racing games. Currently playing F1 2020, Forza 7, WRC 9, COD 4 MW Remastered and Star Wars Battlefront 2.

  7. As it's Tuesday, I've been able to get a little more time in the garage to get the next layer done. The Base layer required two coats of primer, one done yesterday and the other this morning before work. Each clat only took 10 mins to do on such a small patch. Before I started, seeing as I had all evening, I put another coat of white on the walls. I may put a third on, I'm not sure yet if it'll be needed. I'll probably do a trial patch and see if I can spot it or not. With the painting done for now, and my kit ready, it was time to stop putting things off and make a start. I expected to only need 2 bags of the HD Top for this, but got three ready just in case. The first bucket went done smoothly, and flowed out fairly well. This stuff will hold a 1/8" edge so it does need towelling about, as its only meant to be 5mm-ish thick. Soon enough, the second bucket was mixed and poured. This one needed a bit more troweling to make it flow into the first bit evenly, but it seemed to go well. I'm pretty pleased with how its gone, and the spiked roller seemed to even the few trowel lines out nicely. Once it had sat for 15 mins or so, a few bubbles started to come to the surface. I fear this is due to me mixing the compound at too high a speed. Most of them were popping easily by themselves, but I'm sure some will remain. Thankfully, they're easy enough to sand flat if there any too many before I paint the floor. The morning will tell!

  8. Do we have any gamers here? With a relatively small to do list on the car this winter I've had more time to get back into gaming. I mainly play call of duty (ps5) and recently finished my gaming setup. I have always wanted a designated play area and now I've got one 😄 Although it's probably a matter of months before the kids claim it as their own. What are you playing? Show me your setups if you like.

  10. I had one and only one unholy terrifying flight in one of those...... correct me if I'm wrong but they have an 80 foot rotor diameter?? The nutter flying ours thought he was driving a lawnmower around a forest.... I think he got disciplined for his antics but that did nothing for my undies on the day..... now am I the only nutter that would want to be sat on that cannon for the worlds finest white knuckle ride?

  12. I play Fortnite with my son, I really like it but i'm crap at it compared to my son and his friends. I turn around for a second and they're 30 foot in the area in a complex building with sniping windows and a sun deck. I'm a self certified panic builder!

  18. Hi Matt I dont know your Dad's car, so I hope that someone here does know it. If you dont get a reply from this forum, there is a very old email group - http://mailman.se7ens.net/mailman/listinfo/seight here that sometimes people post to. Its very old but you could use it as a last resort. Good Luck Jon

  20. I used aquatuff industrial floor paint from marl coatings. Cracking company to deal with and dead easy stuff to put down. It’s not cheap but not massively expensive either and I’d recommend a chat with them for prep and if you need a sealer first

  21. Way, way too many hours spent playing Borderlands 3 of late.....no fancy rig, just a PS4 on the lounge TV, but also have an XBox One in the spare room on the old plasma telly. Will no doubt buy a PS5 when they come back into stock. Never liked racing sims for some reason.

  22. One of my plans for this year is to get my room more sorted to allow for a more well organised gaming setup. Been playing a lot of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 on PC recently as it was free on the Epic Games store (may still be!), but I have thousands of hours put into the Forza games on Xbox. My PC is fairly well developed, but I want to get a larger case so I can manage the cables better (right now they are really squashed in in the PSU side of the case), I'm thinking Lian Li O11D XL, and whilst I have everything out of my current case I might try and get a 30 series Nvidia GPU... I'm a bit like you with proper racing sims @Dazz150, I have to take a drawer out of my desk to be able to get my steering wheel in place so I very rarely play Project Cars 2, Assetto Corsa.

  23. Looking through Steam, the last driving sim I played was Euro Truck Simulator 🤣 I might pick Assetto back up again later this week. The main benefit of this scaffold excuse of a desk is that I can just swing the keyboard out of the way and everything is set up. Or at least, it would be that easy if I'd have bought a wireless keyboard. More upgrades! The Forest and Subsistence are the two recent ones. It seems 7 Days to Die has the most time spent, though haven't touched that nearly two years. Dying Light and Green Hell were last years efforts I think.

  24. I thought for a moment that Scott had been appointed. At least we'd have an honest spokesperson up there. But Hannibal, for all his faults was not ever dishonest. His intent was always clear and well defined. Just don't be anywhere near him if you see him prepping the veg...
