  1. 1. To me: “Drink responsibly” means don’t spill it. 2. Age 60 might be the new 40, but 9.00 pm is the new midnight. 3. The older I get, the earlier it gets late. 4. When I say: “The other day”, I could be referring to any time between yesterday and 15 years ago. 5. I remember being able to get up without making sound effects. 6. I had my patience tested. I’m negative. 7. If you lose a sock in the dryer, it comes back as a Tupperware lid that doesn’t fit any of your containers. 8. If you are sitting in public and a stranger sits next to you, just stare straight ahead and say: “Did you bring the money?” 9. I finally got 8 hours of sleep. It took me 3 days, but whatever! 10. I hate it when a couple argue in public and I missed the beginning and don’t know whose side I’m on. 11. When you do squats, are your knees meant to sound like a goat chewing on an aluminium can filled with celery? 12. I don’t mean to interrupt people. I just randomly remember things and get really excited. 13. When I ask for directions, please don’t use words like “east”. 14. Don’t bother walking a mile in my shoes since that would be boring. Just spend 30 seconds in my head. That’ll freak you right out. 15. Sometimes someone unexpected comes into your life out of nowhere, makes your heart race and changes you forever. We call these people cops. 16. My luck is like a bald guy who just won a comb. 17. When one door closes and another opens, it probably means you are in prison. 18. 3. BRG is faster. Hence the name. Yellow is nice but like backsides, everyone has yellow.😋 Have a matched pair with your old man. Start a race team.😁

  5. I've got this listed on e-bay as I appreciate it's probably of limited appeal, looking for £150 or feel free to submit a bid...... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Armtech-Hybrid-Battery-Isolator-FIA-MSA-Compliant/254828180726 It's brand new, never been fitted just been sat on the shelf gathering dust.

  9. Hi Greg and thanks for that, Yes got caught out when I built the JZR Trike! had the permission etc but ran out of time due to getting approval before being able to source kit, engine and ship etc.....plus no-way it would pass torsion/twist test, but as I built it for "Therapy" as I considered retiring it was cheap therapy! Been talking with Westfield as they work their way through, and won't order till assured of the outcomes - at present their biggest issues is tuning the motor to meet regs (I think it's from the MX5) lights etc all seem to have made it through (I know in the U.K they fit a temporary "pod" to raise the height) and they removed the doors as no intrusion bars (u.k do same) and moving fuel tank inwards 10mm as too close to body. I enjoyed coming to the club meeting a few weeks ago, and look forward to joining, and more fellowship, and next time may have access to some brand new Toyota engines!!!! Long Story Mark P.S Ant Ansteads MX% based Tipo 164 looks interesting.........

  10. Only just found this thread and wowser - what a read! Thanks to all who have posted and hope you are all coping with current situation in whatever ways you can. This is obviously a very supportive environment, emotionally as well as mechanically. People often say we should treat mental illness as we would a broken leg - but the problem is that those of us who haven't experienced it can't really understand "why" or "how" or "what to do" to help. My son has had depression on and off for last few years (I think because he expects perfection from himself) and I'm just hoping that now he's been Ok for the last 12 months that latest lockdown and loss of his business again doesn't seem an impossible hole to climb out of. Reading the tales and thoughts in this chain has given me some insight into a few possible whys and an understanding of the frustrations involved in knowing your thoughts may not be logical but still struggling to manage them - sorry if that isn't a good explanation. My son says he knows when he is making poor decisions but is still unable to do anything to allow him to make better ones. Thanks again to all posters - you've improved my understanding immensely. Best wishes with managing your situations - please continue to help each other.

  11. Who says they are impractical? 3 full bags of essential shopping (may not have been from the closest Supermarket), room for one more and I haven't even used the boot yet. Chilly but dry.

  13. Thanks for the warm response guy's, and "Rush" know Chesterfield-ish well...was engaged to a Girl in that direction, was a Commercial Photographer at Sheffield Newspapers, (lived at Beauchief) and a Client was Shipstones brewery - still going ? my theory in business was when times are good people Smoke, Drink, Gamble, and when bad, Yup same😁 so had 3 Breweries 2 Bookie Chains and Benson & Hedges...don't smoke or gamble but do like a RED😉 Off to look at the W.A Importers Westfield's tomorrow, sounds like a great guy with a Wolverhampton accent and he used to work for Westfield, and pinged a few emails to get a feel for the MG Prices - plenty of "B: bits here but not the midget.......

  14. So after getting no response from a radiator specialist that was recommended to me (despite me talking in person to their MD they didn't bother replying to the emails I sent that they had requested!) I noticed @Westfield Parts Dept were doing a Black Friday discount. I also needed some other parts so I called them yesterday morning and placed an order. Some of the parts have 8+ week lead times (due to COVID and/or normal manufacturing lead times). However some of the parts they had in stock and I was told they'd be couriered next week due to how busy they were (I'm assuming because of the deal). Imagine my surprise when a large package arrived in the post today with some shiny new parts!!! So a big shout out to @Westfield Parts Dept ... thank you for the quick response and I have my fingers crossed the items on order arrive quickly as well 🤞
