  4. Just want to say thank you gents. I took the info from here to the garage and they quickly managed to sort out the caliper with no need for me to shell out for a new one! MOT passed.

  6. We in normal years have a week and day trips in the winter to the isle. The red funnel ferry starts the holiday off nicely. A week or a lifetime it’s just depends if you are looking to settle and relax or rush about and want to do it all. When he weather is nice it’s just lovely.. I like to have a day break from holiday and the family and do a loop of the island on my bike. We go Fossil hunting at Brook ( I usually fall asleep on the beach) , fish and chips at rainbow in fresh water. I can even recommend and the hospital after having kidney stones and a related infection.

  7. It's my son who's excited about it. He's desperate to catch a glimpse of the new trains (despite unwittingly having been on them before in their former lives). We're going to pop over for a day during the Christmas break so he can see them in the depot. Will refrain from saying Hello just yet but will be more sociable post COVID πŸ˜„ Usually stay just outside of Lake so pretty local

  13. Thanks for the warm response guy's, and "Rush" know Chesterfield-ish well...was engaged to a Girl in that direction, was a Commercial Photographer at Sheffield Newspapers, (lived at Beauchief) and a Client was Shipstones brewery - still going ? my theory in business was when times are good people Smoke, Drink, Gamble, and when bad, Yup same😁 so had 3 Breweries 2 Bookie Chains and Benson & Hedges...don't smoke or gamble but do like a REDπŸ˜‰ Off to look at the W.A Importers Westfield's tomorrow, sounds like a great guy with a Wolverhampton accent and he used to work for Westfield, and pinged a few emails to get a feel for the MG Prices - plenty of "B: bits here but not the midget.......

  19. On day #5 we had our swab test. Day #6 we got our results, negative πŸ˜€ Today we were allowed out of our room for the first time, for 30 minutes. We can go to the pool area to relax or exercise, we chose exercise. At 10am we get a knock on the door. A young man all kitted out in ppe greets us and leads us to the lift, the buttons in the lift are covered over with polythene sheeting to make them easier to wipe down, he presses the button and down we go, at the pool level the doors open and we are greeted by another young man, again all ppe’d up, he points at a tray on the floor and indicates that we wipe our feet in it. Then out we go into the Bangkok sunshine 😎 To be greeted by a Christmas tree by the pool πŸŽ„ One other person was already there lapping the pool so we agree to follow her at a safe distance and we won’t pass each other, 30 minutes and 4,950 steps (1.9 miles) later the young man indicates it’s time to go and the transit process is reversed back to our room 😟 It's really interesting to see how other countries are dealing with this pandemic, and I'm really impressed with what I've seen so far. Ok I've not been out in the real world yet, but the way the establishment is dealing with it seems far better that the UK effort, and I hate knocking the UK but sometimes they (everyone) needs a good kick up the backside.

  20. Thanks all for the continuing ideas. I currently have a pair of stacked heavy duty stationery cupboards with the slidy doors. They're proving very useful as the shelves are so flexible on height, although I do need a step ladder to reach the top shelves. The top one is screwed to the roof, as its a sliding fit.... My next probable idea is to use pallet racking, as I've found that the yard that I have a lock up on has some going cheap. Β£2-4 a piece cheap, so an 8ft bay should only cost Β£30-40, plus the cost of the shelves. And it'll take a ton a shelf!

  23. Speed Series entered and New Motorsport License applied for! Definitely won't be able to do a full season, but hope to do a few although will have no trailer or tow vehicle. AND If anyone would be happy for me to double drive their Westie, please PM me so we can have a chat about the pros/cons, ins/outs, remunerations/costs etc. I believe I'm 'safe hands' , but maybe that is better commented on by those who have seen my driving or have passengered while I've been driving.

  24. Just received a party political (Welsh Labour) piece of waste paper from my Assembly member (welsh parliament version of MP) he also happens to be first minister , saying how proud he is that his government is the first in the world to reduce the urban speed limit to 20 mph instead of 30 mph . If anyone living anywhere asks for the lower limit it is automatically reduced. Their next stage is they want all roads in wales , motorways, dual carriages, a roads to have a maximum of 50 mph, only reason they have not done it so far is the national (uk wide white with black diagonal) speed limit signs would have to be replaced with number signs and there would need to be repeater signs every few hundred yards . Enjoy the roads of Wales while you can.
