  4. On day #5 we had our swab test. Day #6 we got our results, negative 😀 Today we were allowed out of our room for the first time, for 30 minutes. We can go to the pool area to relax or exercise, we chose exercise. At 10am we get a knock on the door. A young man all kitted out in ppe greets us and leads us to the lift, the buttons in the lift are covered over with polythene sheeting to make them easier to wipe down, he presses the button and down we go, at the pool level the doors open and we are greeted by another young man, again all ppe’d up, he points at a tray on the floor and indicates that we wipe our feet in it. Then out we go into the Bangkok sunshine 😎 To be greeted by a Christmas tree by the pool 🎄 One other person was already there lapping the pool so we agree to follow her at a safe distance and we won’t pass each other, 30 minutes and 4,950 steps (1.9 miles) later the young man indicates it’s time to go and the transit process is reversed back to our room 😟 It's really interesting to see how other countries are dealing with this pandemic, and I'm really impressed with what I've seen so far. Ok I've not been out in the real world yet, but the way the establishment is dealing with it seems far better that the UK effort, and I hate knocking the UK but sometimes they (everyone) needs a good kick up the backside.

  5. Like the Christmas jumpers👍 They have to be the winners. Who would have thought a little car club could influence an on line vote.

  6. I think the problem is, it's such a well developed car that when people enter Westfield ownership they think they need x, y, z. This normally equates to over 200bhp, cage bla bla bla. Once they get into it unless they are doing a load of trackdays it's too much for the road hence the number of owner changes in short succession. Obviously we have covid this year and if anything seems to have upped the price of Westfields wholesale

  8. Thanks all for the continuing ideas. I currently have a pair of stacked heavy duty stationery cupboards with the slidy doors. They're proving very useful as the shelves are so flexible on height, although I do need a step ladder to reach the top shelves. The top one is screwed to the roof, as its a sliding fit.... My next probable idea is to use pallet racking, as I've found that the yard that I have a lock up on has some going cheap. £2-4 a piece cheap, so an 8ft bay should only cost £30-40, plus the cost of the shelves. And it'll take a ton a shelf!

  9. I am sure it would be far too warm in that pool anyway. I will save you a place in my pool for when you return, I am sure you will enjoy it😁

  12. 1 week is enough. If booking a hotel they can get ferry price cheaper than you as they get residents rates so ask if it can be added to your reservation. Plenty to do but only small island so will only take a week. Hotel Belmont in Shanklin was good but depends on what you are looking for and budget!

  13. Having owned a westfield mega blade for 6 years in several guises finaly converting engine to Honda fire blade 1000rr it was a great car and much loved, time came to sell it on to a guy in Spain . Moving onto a Ab performance Arion s2 again with honda fire-blade Sp 1000rr power a fantastic package well engineered , great handling and performance , then covid struck and buisness income dropped i reluctantly decided to sell the Arion on to generate some cash for the bank a very sad tough day for sure . Then out of the blue the guy in Spain contacted me to say he was selling my old car , a real pull on the heart strings after a few minutes thought i struck a deal and now the old westy is coming home , result some money in the bank and a car in the garage . Looking forward to re igniting my relationship with my westfield And the club

  14. Just received a party political (Welsh Labour) piece of waste paper from my Assembly member (welsh parliament version of MP) he also happens to be first minister , saying how proud he is that his government is the first in the world to reduce the urban speed limit to 20 mph instead of 30 mph . If anyone living anywhere asks for the lower limit it is automatically reduced. Their next stage is they want all roads in wales , motorways, dual carriages, a roads to have a maximum of 50 mph, only reason they have not done it so far is the national (uk wide white with black diagonal) speed limit signs would have to be replaced with number signs and there would need to be repeater signs every few hundred yards . Enjoy the roads of Wales while you can.
