  1. Another 80miles running her in. Managed to dodge the showers but with a full day of rain tomorrow sheโ€™ll be getting her widetrack and quick rack upgrade.

  3. I find 888's are ok in all but standing water, sprints are a little different too a race, if a race is wet it's wet, if it's raining during a sprint chances are it will at some point be dry. If the day starts dry and it rains then the best wets in the world won't better your dry times, if it starts wet then I've yet to attend a event where it doesn't dry enough at some point to slip a "quick" time in. wets are nice to have but its extremely rare that you fastest time of the day will be set on them, I never have. edited to add I prefer to have a new unused set of my tyre of choice for "wets" and when my "dry" set are tired the new set are promoted into use and another new set purchased, make any sense? I know what I mean.

  5. I'd look to make a set anyway. I took the mesh out of my v8 bonnet (s2000 car) and replaced it with some Chinky Audi copy plastic grill stuff off Ebay. For about ยฃ10 there was enough for my car and to give @CosKev some for his ( coz he's poor). As for the rear vents, they can't be too hard to make from some b and q mesh stuff? @CosKev

  6. Your driving! And yes, sadly, I fear too many out of the ordinary features to pass MSA regs.

  7. Is the requirement that a road going car be taxed a WSCC or MSUK requirement? I would have thought that a valid MOT would be sufficient to show the car is road going, having to tax it if you don't use it on the road (as I don't) is just throwing money away to no good purpose.

  8. Top right of the post, there are 3 little dots. Click them and choose "Hide". Can't delete anything these days, just in case they're needed as evidence in future...

  10. I am also in Chester. We are quite lucky to have some good tracks in easy reach. Anglesey, Aintree, 3 Sisters as mentiond but also Loton (if you want to try a hillclimb). Curborough Mira and Harewood are also just about managable in a day. Dont rule out the ones further away as well. Staying over night camping at the curcuit is all part of the fun Its a long way but Knockhill has to be experianced.
