  1. After finally finding a cam sensor related issue that had turned the engine into a non runner since summer 2019, the car finally moved, (well 3/4 of it did), all be it four or five metres(!) under it's own engine power, considering it's running NA, with just a base map on the new DTA ecu, although rich, it's running nicely now the cam sensor reading issue is resolved. It was still covered in masking tape and a thick layer of dust from cutting, drilling sanding etc, so I reversed it, perched in the one snot bolted-down-seat, with no dash, just the laptop for instruments, out into the sunlight, and very carefully washed off all the dust, after peeling off what tape I could get at, and using adhesive/tar remover on the residue it left.

  2. Potential Westfield owner no longer - I've gone and bought one! The black / carbon fibre 1800 SEiW for sale on here. Lovely looking car, honest and helpful owner, good history and lots of receipts / photos to prove work done. First drive was interesting - started in Tavistock in the sunshine but by the time I'd got to Okehampton it was misty and getting colder. By Exeter it was down to 6 degrees and full on fog (I'd obviously not fitted hood / doors / side-screens for first drive. 😀 😀 Thanks to all on here for helpful comment / advice - it was invaluable and hopefully ensured I bought the right car for me. Just got to sell the TT now and rearrange the garages. See you all out on the roads. Jim

  4. Hello everyone. Where do I start... A little bit about myself I guess. Ive been a petrol head for all of my adult life. Young boy racer back in the day driving everywhere like I was invincible. As you grow up and mature you soon realise we weren’t invincible. Moving on. Always had performance cars from ford rs’s and m3’s etc. I always knew one day I would have a 7 type car. I’ve had my car a few weeks now. First drive was from Essex to N E Lincs second drive was only a short run. Can not wait to get out and meet some of you. I’ll try and add a couple of pics of my car. Thanks jay.

  5. As the upgrades get towards the end on my supercharged S2000 conversion, ten months of a Pandemic required salary sharing scheme at my business means that certain big-ticket things like a full replacement exhaust system for the S2000 are going to have to wait, if I want to get it finished. As a consequence, I need to at least change the existing system to all stainless, as the carbon cans, can be troublesome with the supercharger, and as mine is in pretty good condition, I don't want to spoil it by having the car dyno'd on it and run for a year etc... So, has anyone with an S2000, got a stainless Westfield silencer, in good condition, (ie no dents!) that they would like to swap for the carbon equivalent? For ref, the S2000 version is an offside mounting, 2.5” bore and then the usual 6”x24” silencer I'm in Cheshire, 10 mins from the M6, jn17, happy to travel and meet part way etc?

  9. They’ve been known to split the seam of the carbon cylinder under extremes. If you look at pics, pretty much none of the S2000S’s have carbon cans!

  12. I ended up with a C250 Cdi estate, which doesn’t really fit the criteria of being particularly big or especially large engined. Nor does it have small wheels with big squishy tyres, and it does unfortunately have “sporty” suspension.
