  4. With a break in the rain it'd be rude not to. Headed from home to Moffat and did the loop to Innerleithen, peebles, Broughton and back down past the devil's beef tub towards Moffat. Then went a bit off planned piste and got lost. Ended up in elvanfoot, over to Leadhills, Wanlockhead and mennock. Then found the lovely a702 from Carronbridge back up to elvanfoot. 15 miles of smooth fast flowing A road with fabulous scenery and no traffic in sight, fabulous. I did take a few vids aswell which I've cobbled together into a short edit. Excuse this it's my first time editing a video and excuse the cheesy music.

  9. SOLD... A pair of unused GRP seats in black. were bought from another member back in the summer but have not been fitted to a car. The pictures are from the previous advert (thank you Gareth) as these show them in the car and being honest are better than I can do right now. They fit the wide bodied Westy's (refer to pictures) and SDV's which is mine although I've never fitted them. The passenger seat is tight as the chassis is narrower on this side but does go in. They are made by GBS and are the double skinned variety and about 4 years old. There is nothing wrong with them and they are really good quality - better than most others I have seen. I have tried them (on the floor only) but they are a little narrow in the shoulder for an ex front row disrupter. I have since bought a different make which are less figure hugging and suit me better. These are available new for £294 each but I am looking for £350ono for the pair. They can be collected or posted in the original packaging at cost. Thanks - Rob SOLD...SOLD...SOLD

  12. Manufacturing & Construction is meant to stay open this time around according to what I interpreted from his announcement. This should mean the factory remains open ... although I suspect you won't be able to visit.

  23. Dave, you have no idea how long I have waited to fit her into the thread! She is my absolute favourite artist. The missus thinks I'm a bit obsessive and just rolls her eyes! Been to two gigs and have tickets for Feb (fingers crossed it goes ahead). Spoke with her on both occasions - super nice and approachable. It was her playing cigar box guitars that got me interested in building them. My latest build was for myself, so I took the back panel with me to the last gig and she signed it which was very cool.

  32. Hi David @LythamBrownie Do you mean the piece that goes across the top of the rear bulkhead and covers the rivets? Described as a Westfield contoured finisher strip here (http://www.carbon-nv.co.uk/products.html). If so, yes I have a spare one available. PM me for details. Cheers, Bill

  33. There is 3 ways of register a Westfield in France : - Buy it new or already registered in France. - Buy one overseas which is less than 30 years Old : You have to make it road registered with a lot of test (they will consider you build it and check everything.. takes years and a lot of money). - Last way (and easiest) is to buy a 30 years old Westfield, correctly registered as a westfield (not the donor car ID) and to ask the FFVE (French féderation of Classic cars) a receipt to prove it is old enough to be registered a classic car. You need an MOT, a FFVE certificate, proof of bought. The precious certificate needs : picture of the car (engine, chassis number, front , rear etc...) , full details (make, model, date of first registration...) . Once received, you can ask for the french v5 . it took 3 months for mine. Can make a more developped article to show document etc on this last way.
